With all the back to back storm systems with rain north of the GG and Tahoe snow, just surprised how dry it still is down at BBV. I absolutely love how beautiful, healthy, and happy these 2 magnificent bald eagles are and continue to thrive. Happy 2025 J & S!!

I think there's a shortage of plants that produce the needed fluff. I mentioned this before. Maybe Big Bear keeps the forest floors clear? That would help out the crunchy nest, 😅 Always a treat to see Jackie and Shadow. Especially at this time of year. We're hoping for a gentle winter up there. Thank you Cali❤ 👑🦅💞👑🦅

Yes they sure do need fluff in the nest looks very uncomfortable too many sticks no wonder there's no babies .... And I love the chortles.... It is very soothing to listen to . I can’t remember how to tell Shadow from Jackie I know u told us last year but they look so much alike especially when they are standing next to each other other

Jackie is bigger, the top of her head is flatter, while the top of Shadow's head is somewhat rounded. I don't know if it still is, but used to be when Shadow pancakes one of his wings sticks up like a shark fin. That's all I remember. 😊

Do Jackie and Shadow normally breath very noticeably after landing in the nest? I don't remember this from last year but I"ve observed this in a couple of previous videos.

I think that the sound is more sensitive/louder this year....I don't remember all the crunching sticks noise in previous years.
