+Paul Turrentine Hi Paul. Glad you are enjoying the vids. I have not ridden through Port Angeles, but I hear that the area is nice. Vancouver Island certainly is and we will have to take our bike over to those areas sometime. Yamaha builds some fine machines and the vstar is a great bike that will serve you well.

Just for fun I have made a GPX file for the entire Route 66 Chi- Santa Monica broken down by 11 days. If interested I plan to share it so others can ride it if desired. I could not find a Route 66 out there with all info but I complied it with a spreadsheet

Hi George. That is probably not something I would ever use, however I would share it on my Facebook page, Dry Rock Studios for others if you wish.

love how you put the state of California up along with the video while connecting the cities with a line along the way. how did you do it?

Glad you like. It is a time consuming job to do the map. I start by free hand drawing the road on adobe illustrator. I capture the drawing with a screen capture program. I then use adobe premiere pro to edit this screen capture movie and render it to a usable mpeg. Later when I am editing the travel clips in premiere pro I overlay the map on top of the bike footage, reduce the opacity, and add the tags. The next season will be slightly different, with the map overlay not dulling the colors of the bike footage by using a different overlay technique. Those videos will start coming available in about a month. Hope you check them out!
