Pajaro Dunes is a funky little neighborhood on the Pacific coast, just south of Santa Cruz, California. Known for it’s experimental architecture from from the 60’s & 70’s, Pajaro Dunes has an almost out-of-this-world vibe. Each house is uniquely designed & positioned on the dunes to capture the ocean sights & sounds.
Ryan & his family were looking to remodel one of these classic homes into a Scandinavian-style beach house. With the help of Lennox & the Seacliff Construction team, they were able to realize their vision of a clean-lined, minimalist home that captures the vacation spirit.
This 4-level home’s distinct black (burnt wood look) exterior is contrasted by the white of the interior shiplapped walls. As you travel throughout the home, you find quite a few relaxing niches tucked away, but are then are surprised with a grand-open space on the top floor. Utilizing the up-side-down house concept gave Ryan and his family the ability to enjoy ocean views throughout the day from their open-concept great room.
Come explore this home as we discuss the design with Lennox (the builder) & Ryan (the homeowner).
