Wow. Un pezzo che per quelli della mia generazione era sinonimo di quell'immagine dell'America che immaginavamo patria di ideali e libertà. Credo sia uno dei brani più cantati all'epoca, sia nella versione dei The Mamas & The Papas che in quella dei Dik Dik. I was a teenager when this song came out. I can still see Mama Cass Elliott singing the lead. It was a lovely song then but far more so now, with you playing it. I find myself remembering good times and wonderful memories now, so long gone. It brings smiles to my face, in spite of the tears. Lady Angela, you are the Master! I loved the song and your beautiful smiles that accompany your playing. You made a very gloomy day turn into a warm Summer place, if only for awhile. You made my day, for sure! I can still remember humming this in the line-up at a surf break called swabbyland on the sothshore behind the rifle range at barbers point in Oahu hawaii. @Angela Lancieri I will. I tried a D'Angelico Premium two days ago in Madrid's best guitar shop, Malaga8. I only went in to buy some strings, but I had to try out the 12-strings they had there. I loved the d'Angelico, it was surprisingly easy to play - better than some that are much more expensive. They'll have some more next week, so I won't make a decision until I have tried out several more. It was easy to play open chords, but fingerstyle was harder than my 6 string. Still, the sound is enchanting. I'll definitely let you know how it goes. But I know it will require patience and practice. Rome wasn't built in a day!
