Those are my favorite seasons of california dreams although i do have favorite episodes seasons 3-5. The actors in seasons one and two of california dreams were really good. (brent gore, heidi lenhart, michael cade, kelly packard, jennie kwan, william james jones, and jay anthony franke)

He should have put his foot down and said "no i will not drink" And if the girl dumped him because of that, so be it. Elizabeth this was in the early 90s. Along with the typical teenage issues, alcohol, drugs, partying, girls, boys etc.. I surprised that neither saved by the bell nor California dreams didn’t do an episode on stds, sex, teen pregnancy, or AIDs. These were also heavy issues for teens in the 80s and 90s.

Just a thought; I think the reality of peer pressure is obvious to fit in but many are missing the facts of what leads to peer pressure whereas the whole band ignored Mark and were selfish to his feeling of not fitting in etc so it made sense that he felt powerful when he drank...sometimes we fail to acknowledge the part we play in others demise as Mark was always there for them but they came across like they didn't care and that can lead ppl into wrong decision making

I remember when I first saw this ep as a kid/teen and was so angry about how they dealt with the drink driving. He essentially got away with it, no one hated him/treated him differently and he wasn't charged etc. Really irresponsible x #1899 #renew1899 #1899netflix
