Surfs up, dudes, and all that rad jazz. Today we shine the spotlight on California Games, a conversion of Epyx's best-selling multi-sports computer title. Does Sega's port succeed in bringing all the sun, surf and sand of the Commodore 64 version into the console realm? And even if they did, is it worth playing today?

Maybe I just have rose tinted glasses, but I love this game. It always seemed to me like it is probably the best multiplayer game on the system. But to each their own!

My cousin and I would hire this out from the local newsagent if we were ever visiting each other in the 80s/90s and mostly take turns competing on events. Usually skate or bmx.
