I live in LA, 110mph winds in Pacific Palisades prevented planes from going up in the air for 16 hours to drop flame retardant, the #1 resource to prevent fires spreading. Fire engines on the ground are like a drop in the bucket against this kind of thing. winds in my neighborhood which are 30 miles away from Pacific Palisades were at 70 miles an hour, also for 16 hours straight. that’s why this situation is so bad. Meanwhile Trump is spreading complete falsehoods to score political points, let that sink in for a minute. I just saw something with him saying Beverly Hills is on fire and homes are being lost, this is a total fabrication. I live 2 miles from Beverly Hills the nearest fire is 10 miles away. A small fire started up the hills above Beverly Hills yesterday and it was quickly put out. The man is completely deranged. what would be actually great would be if he would pitch in and help or offer words of encouragement instead of trying to score points against Newsom. Deranged.

My son lives in LA, and his relative is a firefighter. His account is in accord with the scientific account, namely, the underlying cause is the massive hurricane force winds, totally dry, 80mph. Under conditions of these winds, every other contributor to fire and its spread is multiplied. As an example, even pyromania is multiplied and the force of fire bug set fires is multiplied. Pyromaniacs have impulses and desires that are unleashed by setting and watching fires burn, so when the dry winds blow at such force, their impulses are activated to a much higher degree. This is not to say that pyros caused the LA fires, no. But rather, the causal force of every thing that ordinarily causes fires is multiplied under conditions of the Santa Anna winds.

He has been Governor since 2019, in those 6 years what has he done to help California? Fact Check: A large reservoir in Pacific Palisades, the Santa Ynez Reservoir, was closed supposedly for maintenance, and for how long no one wants to answer, it was completely empty when the fire broke out. Was this a wise decision on Gavin's part, when there were no other reservoirs or water source available to the residents in that area. A good planner would have prepared for an eventual emergency, but it is obvious no plan B was in place and as a result we have an out-of-control fire raging. Officials from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (DWP) said that if the Santa Ynez Reservoir had been operational, it would have increased the supply of water, but that it's unclear what the ultimate effect might have been. Well, we all know what the effect would have been, they would have had water to put out the fire. Gavin is the Govenor and ultimately responsible for poor planning and putting residents in jeopardy of losing their homes if a fire broke out and Woops! It DID. So, yes, he is the responsible party.
