Pogonip is by far the most magical and whimsical hike I have ever done so far in the San Francisco Bay Area! You really have to come here to experience it yourself! Believe it or not, this is not everything you can see in this area...so I guess I just have to come back...life is so hard, isn't it? Haha, jk! @@WanderwithAwe OMG!! Hiking after a good rain that turns everything greener but not muddy is the BEST!!! However, to tell you the truth, I've been a city person for so long now that the only time I go hiking wasn't to enjoy the hike but to take film equipment in and out of a filming location. There's one long hike that's about 3 miles but definitely worth it when you get to where your going. I believe it's called decorated cove. Don't quote me on that. I filmed part of a Star Wars movie there. Hike 3 miles in carrying sound equipment to film a scene that lasts less than 90 seconds in the film just to hike back out to drive to Nappy to film another light saber battle scene...... That was a long day that I couldn't talk about for a couple of years because of the secrecy. Star Wars movies were supposed to have ended.

What great place and area, especially for anomalies. You'd mentioned the "steep" hike there. That area is full of (gravity) magnetic hills which often make you work harder to climb. Not everyone notices that. I find it interesting that you do!

Magnetic hills are trippy! Have you been to mystery spot in Santa Cruz! I can't get over how strange it is there and it also makes me feel nauseous!
