My aunt and uncle used to live on 59th, and Normandie from 1972 to 1987. Miss Epps store, Kwons grocery store Mr Lamberts sold hamburgers ice cream pennie candies. We used to walk up to Budlong Elementary and get the summer free lunches go to Harvard Park and they would give you a basketball or a carrum game if you let them hold your house key, buspass at the front desk, basically collateral. Me and my cousin was in the gym at Harvard Park, and I had on some blue pumas I was probably 11 years old a older teenager ran up to me and said "you got 10 seconds to get tfo! of here with them shoes on!" We ran all the way home. This was in 1983
