why is making runny concrete more gummy with 3d admix better than just not mixing it as wet in the first place? total n00b here

I understood admixtures to work exactly the other way around - create a free-flowing concrete slurry *without* needing to add too much water (that would weaken the concrete). Cool demos, nonetheless :)
