Hello Everyone! It's Tom and Paul! We're The Blokes From Stoke! Two big kids (and a dog) sharing our love of Disney, Universal, Theme Parks, Travel, Florida and Home.

It's a Disney Kind Of Day! We're headed out to Disneyland Park for the first time ever! In Part one of our first day, we take it all in and do some exploring as well as experiencing lots of the rides. Do they measure up to Orlando?
We also try Beignets for the first time so we'll let you know what we think.

In regards to the castle, it is small, cute, charming, and pretty. But most importantly, it’s the only one really with any historical significance and the only one Walt ever build himself. So for that, it’s my personal favorite. ❤

My overwhelming memory from our trip is walking around a corner and saying, " That shouldn't be there."" 😂 Then you remember this was the original. It's Florida that changed things. Space mountain looks the same as the Tokyo one. We preferred the Tokyo one much smoother

Hahah that’s what you hear us saying a lot… “oh this is different,” “this shouldn’t be here hahah” It was like they put a mix of all the WDW parks together in one place… We love Orlando (obvs!) but loved some of the OG rides here more! We’ll discuss next time we see you hahah

out of the two parks disneyland has got such a cosy and welcoming feel to it. for me the best ride there at the time i went was indiana jones adventure.

Enjoying the vlogs guys. My wife and I were there in2022 and it brought back good memories. We were there for a week so didn't have to rush about. We went in the canoes and my wife had a bit of an incident getting in the canoe, she misjudged her footing and ended up on the floor between the seats😂 she had to be helped up by the cast members and was mortified l had to stop myself from laughing, surfice to say she didn't speak to me for about an hour

Great vlog guys first Disney park I ever went to and still my favourite. We broke down on pirates once and they had to rescue us in waders then took us backstage we came out by the floats then went indoors through the staff rooms and then popped up in new orleans at the shops really strange, we were given a fast pass ticket for any ride and of course we headed straight to Matterhorn.

When you are at Disney this summer if staying at Old Key West go next door to Port Orleans French Quarter and go to Scat Cats Club for a drink they serve Beignets with alcohol in them, I had mine with a baileys shot in it. We used to walk down from Riverside for a couple of drinks there in the evening last month.

A maga coworker was shocked my wife and I still go to WDW when I mentioned I was celebrating my 50th year anniversary of my first WDW visit. He asked why ? I explained at WDW I can fully block out the pressures of everyday life, play with the enthusiasm of that 9 year old’s first visit and most of all remember my family who have left this earth but whose memory lives on in the fun we had at WDW. This is especially true for those of us without a family home. Our family ancestral home is a theme park near Orlando.

we saw the Yeti at EE. We happen to be in AK when they soft opened the ride and so among the first to ride it. I think when they complete the expansion in Americas they should do the structural work to revive the EE Yeti.

But let me ask you this - what does it feel like after years of going to Orlando suddenly being somewhere very familiar but different? Do you feel like you're cheating on Orlando? I have toyed with the idea of going to California but with Universal and Disney 30 miles apart it just seems like hard work!

Hahah yes it kind of did make us feel a bit guilty at first, but it’s just a different part of a much bigger picture so we embraced it. Very strange seeing things around corners that we weren’t expecting but it was so lovely! You really should go. Just plan your time between the distances….
