Why aren't they filling San Luis? Can you ask those in charge what their excuse is for not filling San Luis?

If this is an average year, then on average California is a very rainy wet state 5 months of the year.

Just because La Nina is coming next year doesn't mean California will be drier than average. Some years, the storm track does set up further South like in 2000-2001 it was wet

You remember that La Nina 3 years in row from 1998-2001. 1998-99 was very dry and below average precipitation 1999-2000 was below average precipitation, And 2000-2001 was near-above average precipitation

Did no one tell this guy he shouldn't refer to the Lake Berryessa spillway as a "glory hole".

Super El Nino reminds of when the Will Smith movie "Hancock" was a called a super hero movie. Not very super.

Yes, there's just nothing "these weather experts", can boast about. My opinion about this season of rain was that "El Nino" had nothing to do with it. My recall of a true El Nino was back in 1990 "something", exactly what year I would have to look it up, but here in southern California we had over 30 inches, twice the average. This year the storms were cold. Not warm moisture pumping in from Hawaii. Even this guy announces that the snow pack is pretty close to normal. So, why does El Nino even get mentioned? The weather like everything else is politicized.

One of the best weather reporters out there, but I don't think you want to use glory hole to describe the spillway. Lol

I would like to remind everyone about last year, there was not one expert, or news concerning, the record dump of snowfall in the months leading up to the rainy season. In other words, they all just stick their thumb in the air and guess.

3 wet winters in a row and 2 wet La Niña years in a row is hard to imagine. I am thinking in a cyclic way. However years that transition from a strong El Niño to a La Niña tend to be wet like 1973-1974, 2010-2011, and 2016-2017.

You remember weak La nina of 2000-2001, after active wet October, we had inactive phase 2 months of November and December 2000 being dry in Southern California, then January to April 2001 had picked up rain

@@SpagineThat’s why it’s hard to overcome our groundwater deficit with how much we draw, it takes multiple wet winters in a row to really improve our groundwater supply and that’s very hard to come by in our volatile climate. However I’ve heard we’ve been pursuing innovative groundwater recharge technology. We also need more reservoirs😂We’re built too much on a flood control mindset and not actually holding onto the water
