The state and the city is not properly staffed ready for the re-building process. Not enough inspectors, etc. they will need to set up multiple mobile offices around the city to expedite the process.

I love the part that you said that the governor made a new law to say that investors can’t even solicit homeowners to buy their houses now. Good for him to do that. Hopefully it will prevent BlackRock and other conglomerates from soliciting as well.

Couple of months later private equity firms come and offer a rate that more than what the Insurance company might offer for what's remaining, couple of years later these firms will build malls, luxury homes and love homes for billionaires and sell for 1000X than what they bought it for, and this this place will have infinite supply of water, no tree will be left to avoid future fires, and will invest billions to reshape the flow of winds.

Regarding the CA E.O. Pace mentioned about speculators, the text of order doesn’t say you can’t solicit. It just makes it pointless to solicit or make offers because it can’t be less than FMV of pre-fire value. But this only lasts for 3 months. It’ll be interesting to see if any arm’s length sales occur during this regulated period. And I wonder if BlackRock, etc. will find a loophole by just getting the lot under contract and waiting after 3 months to transact for the as-is lower value.

Of course, Newsom will do that. Many of those affected were his donors. The rich will always get help. But look at what is happening in NC and Hawaii and Ohio. People just getting by won't get much help from politicians. It is really sucks to be poor.

Hi Pace, I'm a native Angeleno and have had friends lose everything in the fires. All the stories coming out are heartbreaking. It's not just the material things that can be replaced. But whole communities that are diverse in demographics are going to need help. There will be huge challenges to overcome with all the questions that will need to be addressed. One of the biggest that has come up first is the Insurance crisis here in California due to all the wildfires that have happened. I had to deal with my homeowners' insurance being canceled with no cause and had to scramble to find coverage. And I do not live in any of the fire zones. I could go on, but I'll leave it here. This is only the beginning.

Pace, we all know you have a heart of gold, but everything you explained is only benefits to the rich. It’s the same thing Oprah did in Hawaii. They burned down a whole city now of course people are going to want to get out of their mortgages because they don’t want to pay for burned down dirt so investors are going to pay pennies on the dollar and Newsome wants to look like this Saint doing away with permit restrictions, but that only benefits the rich that are going to want to rebuild. Kiyosaki always says disaster brings opportunity and this is a prime example. It’s definitely business as usual only for the rich. They actually just did the same thing in Jackson, New Jersey, but they did not burn down houses only forest because the current residence of Jackson did it themselves to expand. Jersey residence know who they are

Did you listen to the video? They literally passed an executive law outlawing the thing you are bringing up. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen, but it at least runs off the buzzards by and large. Furthermore…how does Pace offering to pay their moving cost and closing costs benefit him…that will be thousands of dollars per deal that he will lose. It’s tough to go through life not listening…or worse, not being able to listen.
