While they were busy cheering on a shady ambulance chasing attorney, they loved the return, but when the scam collapsed they are crying about shady lawyers. In a perfect world of civil suits, there is no such thing as a sure thing. There are so many variables of judge interreference in slashing settlements, jury tampering, surprise 11th hour discoveries allowed by a sympathetic judge...

A lot of reasons. Sometimes they're guilt trip into not trusting them. Sometimes they don't want that awkwardness of refusing or turning down someone's offer. They don't want that "friend" or con artist feel bad. It's a cultural issue where if you refuse an offer/help, it puts you in an awkward position. For example, like refusing food from a Filipino household can be interpreted as saying the food is bad and that's why you refuse to eat it. In actuality, you refuse it to be humble and not to take what's theirs.

I lost one of my best friends who we were like brothers because of this. He got out of nursing to get into life insurance sales. I went through something and didn’t ever hear from him. Years later he called me out of the blue wanting permission to write and pay for me a life insurance policy, it wouldn’t cost me anything. It’s boosting his numbers. I told him I can’t because that is a felony. Hey got upset not understanding where I was coming from. We have been through it all and I look at your family as if they were my flesh and blood. His mother was like a mom to me. His wife’s family really took to me. Anyways he got upset and I didn’t hear from him again for years. I said it’s okay. Shows what a true friend is. I let him know during our conversation that how would I face his wife, kids and family if he got caught and went to prison and knew I participated in helping him get there. He called all of our friends wanting to do this. Wasn’t going to fly with me.

Sad. We had a nurse do the same working under Premier Financial Alliance. Always trying to recruit new members to join in selling life insurance. What I found odd from the beginning was that she only recruited Filipinos and mostly all women. Well the job wasn’t selling the life insurance but signing up more new members to sell life insurance. They’ve ended up getting hit with multiple lawsuits for running as a pyramid scheme. All the top leadership including the CEO named in the lawsuits. But when you asked, you were told it was fake news, yet had the complete court records. What’s interesting is that most all the staff compromised of nurses. Unfortunately you were never classified as an employee, you had to purchase all the materials out of pocket. I was always pursued to join, but there were a lot of red flags but the biggest one was how fast she got promoted from entry level to the top leadership level. Within a year, but it all had to do with how many new members where recruited not by selling the life insurance product. In the lawsuit, complaints where also if you questioned the business practices they pulled your licenses.

She had to be a good business woman in order to convince people to invest so much money, she had to know exactly what she was doing in order to make it last so long. It will be interesting to see if she originally meant well then got her head turned by a particular entity

I am confused, if ponzi scheme is illegal then why do corporations like Amway still exist and still having people go to grocery stores and stalk people?

It is the culture of the Filipino people to want to be rich quick. One of the most common ways of the scammers is the pyramid scheme.😂😂😂😂

This happen in NY too in indonesian culture. They put investment thinking they will get their money doubled but nope. It was a dope and they never got their money back, even after they sued. Never invest on stuff like this.

We must leave our “crabs in a bucket mentality”; never follow through with identity politics; when we choose to identity with what we’re familiar with like color, race, religion it makes a dangerous collaboration. Choose to discern people over the type of energy and character they exude rather than color, religion, gender etc…
