As an ex-cook and long time house painter , I have been cut a LOT and I think most people who haven't don't realize how easy it is to deeply cut human flesh. Especially with a razor . That's why you see small movements that don't look like what may be seen in movies . And if they know what they are doing you aren't even going to see the blade. You may just feel a thump or sting and now you are in a lot of trouble. I've brushed my forearm against a regular putty knife in my pocket and didn't realize I was cut until I felt blood running down my arm. Right down to the fascia just like that . And i did it to MYSELF. Imagine somebody with intent and follow through . Serious, serious business .

100 percent, this is why they had such a fearsome reputation during the Australian razor wars of 1920’s Sydney.. someone pulled one of these out you knew you were in a lot of trouble

I really hope you're going to pass it down because this is some of the best I've ever seen, other people have commented in this post about how easy it is for you to be cut with something especially sharp, you can absolutely filet a person alive like this and they wouldn't even know it. It is incredibly passive how it is concealed in the hand like that, you could even do a simple openhand slap and you would carve the cheek to their bone. This needs to be kept alive because this is practical and efficient. I want to learn how to shave with a straight razor and cut my own hair one day. 3 in 1 tool. And to get rid of any inefficiencies, it could be made out of a shock steel or a type of steel that is really hard to damage.

it's a sort of stun technique. It's inspired from late renaissance dueling techniques, where throwing your hat to the opponent's face would momentarily distract them, and (possibly, if the rim of the hat hit their eyes or their face with enough force), even blind them for a second or two. One or two momentsof distraction when fighting with a swift and precise blade like a razor or a rapier is an excellent time to kill the opponent quickly in fencing. That's why italian style fencing is superior in dueling and self defence.
