😊 Memories of childhood and family gatherings around the television. Fantastic series from a sadly bygone era. Hannah Gordon truly beautiful always loved her presence.

Thank you for this of course. We used to watch the series around this time and it was most enjoyable too. Robert Robinson and the team captains did so very well then too. After the series on BBC2 of course ended in 1988, as we know it returned in the daytime on BBC1 later with hosts Bob Holness and then Fiona Bruce so then too. Well done as well.

I watched C.M.B when it was Frank Muir and Patrick Campbell as team captain's. Loved the show for its simplicity of format and trying to guess works I had never heard of when a young child. Very catchy theme tune too!

Brings back memories. i worked on this show as a runner between 1998 and 2003 when Alan Coren was one of the team captains (Victoria Coren-Mitchells farther). Very nice man! Would be great to see it again and perhaps Victoria could captain one of the teams? Interesting that Jeffin now seems to be a term to do with interval running.

Impeccable broadcasting, as it doubles up as a "radio" show if you just wanted to listen.
@alangiles2763 Жыл бұрын
They did actually make a couple of radio series on Radio 4 in 1968/69, but not with Frank, Paddy or Robert Robinson. Humphrey Lyttleton and Fenella Fielding were in some of them. Can't remember who the chairman was. I will try to find out.

I was an avid watcher of this show and nine times out of ten, I would listen to a definition and say: "Well, that's BS , for a start!", even if it was right. But I can't remember an edition when EVERY SINGLE definition - even the true ones - smacked of such complete bollocks! I'm convinced we've just watched a special April Fool's Day edition!! Brilliant upload, Charlie!

Case in point: Robert Robinson at 1:16 and for the rest of the episode doesn’t stop the vibration of the bell after ringing it, as is it custom in the show. Maybe because I’m an Aspy perhaps I’m the only one that I noticed that.
