I agree with you that they are a good pair however your reasoning is a bit flawed I think. By using Theia you lose an entire 1200 damage rage skill. So her buffs will only balance that. The real power comes from being crazy tanky and being able to spit out more Lilya fireballs at higher troop count for longer. Tankyness in this game is very underrated. I have seen my Theia and Atheus out merit my Lilya Velyn purely because of tankyness. To be fair I am only t4 but I trade so much better with t5 when I have tankyness.

It's not the tankyness, it is the 55% attack bonus you get from theia. It will give your mages more normal attack and more counter attack

Idk I went and tested my t4s against a darkling and I realize this does not take into account the aoe damage. If I have lilya velyn I did 20k in a single skill cycle, if I'm Lilya theia my skill cycle did around 10k. In addition my normals with velyn did around 2700 and with theia at max +44% for me I still only did about 2700. Maybe for t5 it's different but seems like overall more damage with velyn.

Thanks Hulksden for sharing the concept of Lil/Theia combo. Do think Lil/Theia combo will deal more dmg (with the boost from Theia and using celest to increase magic atk dmg) vs Lil/Vel which we can get 2x AOE rage skill dmg and not worry about the increase in mag atk dmg?

@@HulksdenGamingThanks. I think I know what you mean. At the end of the day when talking about Pvp, it is the merit points that matter. It doesn't matter if lil/vel can do 2x AOE to hit more targets, it is about getting more merit points which lil/theia combo can do a better job (with pet shield +).

The reason Liliay Theia is brining more is Liliya, not Theia. You're contributing the benefit to the wrong hero Especially with larger fights, Liliya does absurd damage, much more than Velyn. If you want to compare like this, I'd suggest doing proper testing and comparing Lili+Theia & Waldyr+Velyn agaijst Velyn+ Theia & Liliya+ Waldyr. Only then you can distinguish the actual value of individual heries

this can never be meta, firstly whatever u are saying about lil theia, is actually theia and using celestials, nothign to do with lilya.Lilya velyn is crit monster, velyn has crit skill +skill talents tree from lil gives more crit chances(which stacks with velyn), so u are absolutely missing crit fireballs on magic defense break units whihc velyn does.The better pairing for theia will always be waldyr, waldyr 4th skill helps with lex lucius 4th skill of theia, if legion only has theia, she has to rage 4 times to reach the max attk from lex lucius, wladyr magic tree gives one shield+ he gets shield if he gets hero skill dmg, so reaching lex lucius max potential is always sooner.

If you actually saw the video and know about your heroes. Theia buff of 15% skill damage, finishes only when a rage skill is used. So until liliya casts her rage skill the next turn, that buff will be available.

Unless you are dueling or get caught out in the open field cause you were not paying attention, most of the war is a murder ball and mages should always position themselves before attacking due to their long range and never get targeted.
