I bought the COD warchest on steam and it's the best purchase i've made in a long time, comes with COD 1, COD2 and COD united offensive. The memories and nostalgia is unreal

I kinda want to see a game where u played as a a nazi soldier and throughout the war instead of mission accomplish ending on early war and before war u get mission failed at late war.

In this alternative history, the americans and the brits somehow will already know that the germany its gonna invade a lot of countries so they going to stop their invasion in early war. Also the germans never becomes allies with soviets.

... Most standard Wehrmacht (which includes most other branches of the German military back then) were not Nazis. The only real Nazis are those in the SS (including Hitler's Youth), the inner 3rd Reich and some that were scattered throughout both the country and military. Yeah it'd be kinda cool to play as a German, and early on through France on the early days of Barbarossa you're winning, but at late 42 and on you start losing.

Brings back my cod modding days. When I learned how to script in extra enemy. I added all the planes and tracers in the sky to almost all levels to keep that airborne feeling.

No sorry, but I ran into this problems for other games as well. Certain sounds only work for certain games. Like star wars battlefront 2, usually needed a fresh recorded sound, then converted into a lower format in wav, and had to be longer then 0.5 of a sec. Other wise it wouldn’t play. Perhaps I can have a look.

I prefer CoD 2 health regeneration system to this one (regenerating is far from perfect, but medpack system just makes it a backtracking simulator on higher difficulties), but CoD 1 probably has the best maps ever in WWII era CoDs. The Tiger repair station is my favorite. Glad this game still gets love from community after all these years. Too bad it's hard to play on larger monitors.

Regen Health is for pussies. If you can't take the heat in a game without regen, then don't play it. Yeah, I sound like an elitist or some asshole. Take it however you will, I'm not gonna convince you otherwise but, I prefer the old health system. Why? Means I can't be reckless. I like using some kind of strategy in my games rather than just charging at everything and one-shotting the enemies like the newer CoD games... The hell is the point of a health system anyway when everything dies on one hit? Activision (and their subsidiary companies that make the games) have no idea how to make good games anymore.

@@AlphaJnx Lower resolution doesn't always (if it ever did) translate well on large monitors- especially newer, more modern, models. I play Call of Duty Finest Hour on a large 4K monitor (among other old games from that era and they do not look very good. I suppose it doesn't help that I don't emulate and play on original hardware.
