This was the first game where a character death really affected me, I grew attached to these guys as a kid playing and it was a shock when he died. It sounds kinda sappy but at a kid it brought me to grips with the reality of death and how quick it can be. One of my favorite games of all time.

Can we take a second to appreciate how well this describes soldiers being killed in combat? Sgt gives order “to get this open door open now” Vic replied “ I’m on it!” Gets killed in the result. To me that’s sounds pretty accurate. Soldiers don’t have time to mourn losses. Mission comes first. Just thought the level of detail and atmosphere in this game is well done

Michael Cudlitz, aka Sgt Randleman in Band of Brothers. And Brooklyn is voiced by the guy who played Guarnere. Even Private Kelly is done by the guy who played Muck. You’d be hard pressed to find guys in this game who weren’t in Band of Brothers

You have to understand that programming physics is really hard. Besides, with a graphical limitations they had at the time how else were they going to tell you that standing near a grenade when it's thrown is a bad idea?
