Call of Duty 3 Gameplay Walkthrough Part 16 - Closing the Gap

It's what all we've been waiting for... Anyways if you have any suggestion on what I should play next just post in the comments. I might do a commentary from time to time btw.
The last part of the walkthrough for Call of Duty 3 which is available for PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, Wii & Xbox. One more mission and we're done! This is played on the PS3 version on normal difficulty.

Man oh man.. This game was one of my most cherished games as a child. I remember having no internet, barely any money. One day, my parents bought me an Xbox 360 for Christmas after my mother just pulled a job as a Chef, so she got me the 360. Problem was, i had no money for games.. (I eventually got a job and saved up) but something awesome happened, my beautiful aunty bought me COD: Big Red One & COD: 3 three weeks later for my birthday.. I was so happy and remember playing them every day after school, doing the campaign over and over again. And damn it was just so much fun. Me and my friends would play 2 players for endless hours! Not sure why i'm saying all of this, i guess it's just a good part of my life. :) And it's why i don't take anything for granted nowadays.

Anyone who played this game remembered stuff about the characters. Small things or all their names. When they died it was a big deal even though there was no real dialogue. Your teammates in these old games actually watched your back, and it was difficult even on normal difficulty. And it wasn't unbearably difficult like new games. New games the characters are useless, doormats, that are only good for taking bullets. Game difficulties have become a mockery, either being almost impossible to win, not even providing joy to the game, or are a complete joke.

Garrett Moore I must agree with you. I always felt bad for using AI allies in early CODs but later they added nothing to the game. Also the difficulties are all over the place. Easy is too easy and hard is impossible in certain places (especially places where you need to charge the enemy lines)

Garrett Moore cod 1 AI to cod 3 AI had useful teammates.You knew what their health was and the soldiers *actually* shot German soldiers.Cod 4's AI and every game after it had terrible AI.I once saw captain price try to shoot a Russian soldier.He sprayed bullets all over the place,didn't even graze the Russian.Eventually,the Russian ran towards Price and hit him with his ak-47.The Russian just kept beating price and price didn't even shoot back.I had to shoot the Russian so that price could get up.Looks like he wasn't the badass everyone thought he was.

I want back to the classic WWII stories! Storm the beach, push to the city! real heroes! People who don't want to be there, but does it because its the right thing to do etc.. Free occupied countries, kill evil, do your duty! Enough conspiracy stories, cliché evil Russians with secret nukes, butch special forces who are way to comfortable with war than whats realistic and are just there cause they love action! Todays war games are like Michael bay movies! There's plenty of stuff like that already! Make another WWII game that brings out the FEELS MAN! Stories we believe and with modern graphics and gameplay!

Still remember the days when I played this... I had such a strong feeling about this game, and still have today, it just felt more "real" and you really felt the bond between soldiers... and the theme jeez, so nostalgical, makes me almost wanna cry...A beautiful beautiful game, and after more than a decade I can still watch and play the game without getting tired of it, more than I can say about these new CoD games...

My Grandpa Flecther fought in WW2, he joined in 1942, was trained, fought in North Africa and Italy, and rose to the rank of Sargent. He almost had to go to the Pacific, but Japan surrendered before he had to go. He died in 2001 from his body no longer being able to flush out toxins and Black Lung.
