Unfortunately this is so common nowadays, companies like Activision, Blizzard and Ubisoft just don’t care, profit only matters to them, they don’t want you playing the old games. Modders making the older games safe from hackers is not in their best interest, forcing people to the newest and most profitable game is all that matters to them.

A stand alone zombies game would be awesome but it would still be a massive bummer for people like me who love multiplayer on the older cods just as much as og zombies. There’s just nothing quite like playing multiplayer on WAW, MW2, BO1, etc. imo. And if that’s gone forever well… I can’t even put into words how depressing that is

You see, I have a theory. I'm not crazy, ok? Hear me out: Activision. Wants us. To play their failing game. Modern Warfare 2. So they've been shutting down those clients to put us at risk of hackers. And guess what? MW2 doesn't have those problems. I know I know, it sounds nuts. But it goes deeper. What if Activision has been hiring those hackers? An paying them in stolen- I mean "inspired" MW2 microtransactions. Remember the stolen medic-dog skin? I know a lot of furries and lot of them work in IT. And they would do anything for such an exclusive fursona. Now, they could go to the artist and pay them. They got the money for that. But there's an allure to not being a 'good boy' and doing Activision's dirty work. So, they sent furry hackers out into the world to make their games unplayable and now we're forced to play MW2(the bad one). What's next? Well, Activision is gonna make use of us. They're gonna put a bunch of nostalgia bait into the store, an we'll eat it up like the dirty gamers we are. It's their plan. Their agenda. Their conspiracy. And I'm onto you Bobby Kottick. I know what you are. With your pointy ears. I mean, he does look like a demon. I'm serious here. Anyways, I'm joking of course. Activision is just a crappy company. But I like to imagine they're even more comically evil than they already are.

I´ve been doing that since Infinite Warfare came out and only fell for temptation with MW 2019, but it doesn´t matter because the kids and teenagers will buy it anyway since they lack the bigger picture of what they are gonna have to deal with it.

Funny thing is that Cold War has security issues across all platforms lately, and it uses a modified version of the engine used in BOIII which also had the RCE exploits... ironic karma 😅
