There's no bad ending brother ,it depends on your definition of bad . Bell didn't even spoke a word and I felt rooted for him , Cauz he was getting used by both the sides , both of em led him down , Activision's true ending might be the usual "America saves the day again" but I felt that the Soviet ending was a better ending as it provides justice to our character , Doesn't matter which side , in the alternate ending you'll hear Reagen mentioning to remove America's name from all over it therefore not taking the responsibility . Black Ops story was always supposed to be dark and gritty , it's not a movie where hero wins everytime Cauz sometimes you gotta lose for the greater good.

For those who don’t understand why Adler shot bell, it’s because bell knew too much about the CIA operations and they realised after Perseus got away they had to cut loose ends. The AA gun part's game design is straight-up stupid, how is a single WWII era AA gun going to stop super-sonic jets when they couldn't even reliably hit bombers in formation

Those guns are clearly large-caliber AA guns, at least 80mm+, based on the lack of auto-loading mecahnism, their fire rate can not exceed 10 shots per minute. The modern self-propelled AA gun calibers mostly around 30mm, has independent fire control radar, and electric rotation and elevation motors. And their purpose now are not interceptions of modern jets, but low-speed cruise missiles, helicopters, and other low-speed, low-flying targets.
