Probably not even that they're probably going to keep majority of the futuristic stuff, obviously not the Star Wars level things ,but things like the remote control walkers or certain guns and vehicles, the target finder and other devices, yes there are plenty of futuristic devices in Black Ops 2 that are far too futuristic for the time in reality but majority of the stuff like everything I already mentioned are things that are already in use and or being tested by the military today, including walkers! so all they have to do is make Black Ops 2 slightly more realistic and gritty and take out all the outrageously futuristic stuff and keep all the moderately futuristic stuff and then it could make sense though but even if they didn't take all that stuff out I'm pretty sure the games have already made it clear that Black Ops 2 is and will still be Canon

Black Ops 2 doesn’t feel that futuristic though? Only the sticky gloves, walkers, hologram thingys, but every thing else seems pretty modern to me.

My gta verse has humanity advancing technology to either 3 years to a decade ahead of the original years they’re made. Like some 1970s technology would exist in 1960. Even smartphone technology would exist by late 90s. And cyber limbs would become more capable and by 2077, it’s a norm that humanity is still divided between pro cybernetic people and anti cybernetic types. Maybe Raul could’ve chosen to get a cybernetic eye replacement for his lost right eye caused by Alex Mason shooting him in the right eye. But instead, he chose to be a cyclops instead.

Maybe the alien landing contributed to humanity’s technological advancement. Even space colonization is possible. They went as far as mars, Venus and the outer belt. To me the cannon campaign kills Harper, saves Mason & kills Menendez I think Harper dies because when Farid dies instead no one cares about him & you can't even find his body. I think Mason lives because that's how he is in the opening cutscene when you launch the game. I know Menendez dies because Treyarch confirmed it in a timeline video released before BO3

Despite the world ending by Cordis die, at least the good twist of events revealed that Alex Mason actually survived being sniper shot. Harper was sacrificed and maybe the big twist in why Raul died was because David or Section was taken prisoner before and he was experimented upon like his father. And so his last words were his sleeper agent activation code.

@@elperrodelautumo7511 if you're correct about David maybe being brainwashed that would mean sparing Menendez is David resisting his programming like Mason resisting (or not even though I think he did) Reznov's programming when interrogating Kravchenko Then again after everything Menendez did that made David lose a lot of the people that he cared about, it would also make sense that he just got consumed by rage therefore he shot him

@@Nate_M_PCMR that would be true. Menendez had learned about Alex Mason and that he was hypnotized by the numbers program made by Steiner and Dragovich. But he had a Perseus associate Stitch to hypnotize Russell Adler. And it almost succeeded. But Alex Mason helped Adler to fight the numbers programming. Menendez would teach Manuel Roba to hypnotize us army soldiers who were raiding his drug labs and stack houses. One soldier Simon Ghost Riley would be buried alive but dugged out alive and survived. As some failure, he sends his sleeper us army soldiers to kill Simon’s family as a message for resisting death. Plus he would teach his godson Rodolfo Parra and becoming a de facto heir of his drug empire that ran across San sombrero. And his death sparked a power vacuum. It became divided with La araña cartel and later Las Alma’s cartel. As well as some splinter cartel cells. Rodolfo Parra would build his father’s empire within the vaqueros and later connect with Perseus. Discovering the task force operates that oppose or even destroy their objectives of terror and destruction . Even Perseus would also used a captured ghosts member Gabriel Rourke to test subject on for the South American federation to use to conquer territories of Chelonia. And Aquila would be its next target. Using Odin against Lingor in 2017 and destroying the old home of the walker family. But not the walker family. Perseus had some Hollywood connections to correct celebrities who step out of line with their sleeper agent torture. Even discover their connections with Cordis die or the fronts of Perseus. Vladimir Makarov had sleeper soldiers on his side. Allowing him to gain numbers in his inner circle. Menendez convinces Makarov to not overuse the numbers program. As the burning flag causing the Middle East to turn a war zone test subject on their soldiers. Rodolfo would later capture shadow company soldiers and even convince Philip Graves friends to betray on Graves. And take back control of the company as it leans too close to task force over being company.

i saved harper in my veteran play tru i would rather save one of the homies then some random punk from the cia lol. i really hated hudson in this game because he set up mason to be executed by woods so i made sure to shoot him in the legs. and watching hudson lie about having kids to menandez for a second only to end up dying anyways was so satisfying to watch. did hudson actually have kids idk but him working for the cia and him poking at woods any chance he gets makes me hate him as a character especially when he only wanted to help mason with his brainwashing as it suited him not because he was the link to stopping nova

Isn’t the easiest explanation the most likely? I’ve always run on the assumption that modern warfare and black ops stories are in alternate universes. I mean hell, the original modern warfare series and the remake of the series recently even seem to be in different universes, or timelines
