Fyi: This is the first cod without recycled animations (like half of the gun so the other half are recycled/improvised,because past cod before ghosts had only like 3-4 of non-recycled animation) and also first cod with a dual rendered scope

MW2019 took it a step further by adding realistic scope warp to the edges of high-power optics, but the main view within the scope is still the same as outside the scope. I’m really not sure why COD hasnt continued to add dual-rendering like the did in ghosts, especially when they went to the efforts they did with MW2019 as far as realism goes.

Honestly, COD Ghosts seems like it was a passion project for the the animators and sound designers. Considering the time it was released, the animations are really good and the sounds are distinct from one another. True predecessor to MW2019. I wish that the devs had put love into the past 4 or 5 CODs not including 2019.

the cylinders rotate and you can see the speed loaders being dropped. the scope reflected the games background. the bloody smoke grenades roll to spread the smoke the frags explode with minimal smoke and fire. this game would have been the new mw storyline and the devs clearly though everyone would like it more than anything. disappointing I can only play with sweats and ghille m27s these days.

I appreciate that the devs actually put unknown weapons instead of recycling the M4 and the AK-47, and even new animations. Sadly, the story left much to be desired. As a lore geek myself, I wanted to know more about the world of the game after seeing the trailers and the presentations: - What was happening in other countries? - Why did the Tel Aviv War start? - What other missions did the Ghosts partake in? - How was the US like after losing its superpower status? And what got my attention the most, the Federation of the Americas. Yes, it sounds like something Trump wrote, but it still was an intriguing (and original) concept with a lot of questions: - When was it founded? - Which countries form it? - How was its government, socialist, capitalist or dictatorial? - How was life like? - Why did they invade the US after glassing half of it? They had _so much_ narrative potential right there, and they could've even made a groundbreaking (and less racist) story, on pair with BO2's, had they decided to mention the US-backed dictatorships that ocurred in South America back from the 50's to the 80's (I'm from Perú, but I learnt a lot about Operación Cóndor in school). But as we know, money and Activision won.
