@Emrah the sound engine is complex to implement in your game engine, just take a look on Rainbow six siege how hard it is and Battlefield is still king on that, the only game being close to a dynamic range sound on that quality is Hunt showdown. The sound does not only have to sound good but it needs to have multiple channels to give you the best positioning of your enemy even if you hear many other things around you, call of duty is still not their.

As a firearms enthusiast, I love all the little details added to the guns in Modern Warfare. The ammunition being visible and slowly being expended on the P90, the magazine release on the AR platforms being pushed out when the mags are dropped, the bolt catches sticking out after the last round has been fired, I gotta give kudos to Infinity Ward for going all out there. Battlefield 4 will always be a timeless classic, I will not argue against that and it's impressive how well it's held up after all these years.

I think reactive reloading would be cool, for example if there was nobody near by and you were to reload, it would be a fairly slow reload, whereas when in a gunfight, or an enemy is near you, your reloading pace changes due to the adrenaline rush

The fn scar to my knowledge shoots .308 which is quite a large round. .308 is extremely popular deer hunting round used in bolt action rifles. It’s roughly double the weight of a .556 and going about the same speed so expect double the recoil than something like an M4 which is chambered in 556. Well i think cod mw 2019 had very different game designs and goals in mind when compared to older installments. older CoD’s evolved from a semi-realistic/semi-arcady fps (CoD4) to a very arcady, super fast fps (black ops 3&4 + infinite warfare). meanwhile Dice had realism and real world authenticity in mind in nearly battlefield game. also you have to consider a lot of corporate bs during infinity ward’s team leaving and other developers joining the CoD development cycle.

why does everyone keep saying "2013 vs 2019", cod has always had good animations and high quality visuals, mostly even better than battlefield, its just you guys base everything on realism when cod was NEVER meant to be realistic or a milsim the way battlefield partially is, cod guns always been good just not realistic until this year

say that to COD WW2 for guns and visuals, COD engine can’t get near to what frostbite is. The issue with battlefield is that it’s been too in the SJW trend and COD has taken that advantage, competition means progress and battlefield demonstrated a decades level beyond of work in 2013 with BF4. COD has the animation level but Battlefield is always the win win or the win lose

Insurgency is better, because it has the bullet in the chamber mechanic, thing that COD don't have. But the reloads in both games are similar, heavy and well made.

The gun sounds in Modern Warfare are much meatier and "badass" for sure but they just feel more realistic in Battlefield 4. Also the firing animation in MW still looks really rigid and arcadey compared to BF4.

The thing that always gets me. They never use the 30+1 in MW. Like if you reload a partial mag. There is going to be another bullet in the chamber. Like, why am I clearing the chamber of my mp5 when I'm in a combat situation? Doesnt exactly make sense to me, but that is not the nail in the coffin.
