Despite all the detail and attention the newer MW games have for guns, the fact that older cods all had real names (with company logo on guns) for most if not all weapons makes me think how cheap the company has become. The fact that even indie shooters have real gun names and mw2022 calls mp5 'lachman sub' is hilarious.

Partly the companies are cheap. The other half is modern gun companies have become more aware of how much money games can make now and they want huge royalties for their products being depicted, despite it being free advertising for them.

First. I shouldn’t be up right now. Also, I love how smooth these animations are. The sounds aren’t bad either, little clanky, but punchy. Somehow better than Cold War and Vanguard. Were these recorded? I know Black Ops I used real gun recordings, and I love how they sound.

These were not recorded they were designed. Ron thing that irritated me about this game is how they mismatched gun sounds from the past installments. For example the python uses the deagle sound when it should be using its own awesome sound from Mw2. That being said. I’ve always thought COD as a series had lackluster gun sounds up until MW2019 which is one of the best sounding games period.

Of course, circumstances within Activision and Infinity Ward had hampered a lot of what Modern Warfare 3 could've been had it not been for Jason West and Vince Zampella crawling back to EA, like didn't Medal of Honor Allied Assault ever teach them anything about EA's business practices and wanting to move development in-house? Not that Activision was any better, either.

you forgot the epic gangsta aim FN five seven (in mission turbulence swap the five seven you have with you to another weapon during the part where everyone is flying around, then after the part ends pick up the pistol and boom you have it, you even can have 2 five sevens due to the gangsta one and the normal one counting as different pistols)

There was really no point for it being made, because we already had mw1 and 2. A lot of people said this is just a 60$ re-skin of mw2 and I can see why. Look at all the reused sounds, animations and even the ui and graphics were recycled. This really was the point where the whole "same shit different disk" thing got popular. Don't use "fun" as an excuse for this game's existence.
