I hate being negative but here we go… if this game came right after Vanguard or something i woulda potentially seen it as a very decent cod. But the way they hyped it as “the first cod game with 4 years of dev time” and all that, i was expecting something totally new and different. Not a modernized a lil smoother cold war. I stopped playing cod after BO3 and when mw19 came out (warzone specifically) it blew me away because it FELT so different and groundbreaking. Im talking about the engine and gunplay. That game brought so many players back to the franchisee because of that, and it still would have done it without covid cuz how good the core game was. Since 2019 every cod game felt the same like the way Madden and Fifa by EA feel the same year after year. And i tell u this… MANY ppl will not like the black ops engine and mechanics on WZ. It can never be as smooth as modern warfare. As much as IW keep making horrible design decisions with their games, they will always have the best gunplay out of any studio.

The movement is fun. But it won’t take long for the AI algorithms to zero in on my location and destroy the game. It actually feels better to have a bad game because you know you’ll be rewarded.
