In Call of Duty WW2, the way certain guns are held is correct for a game set during WW2, such as the handguns being held with one hand, and the MP 40 being held by just the magazine. That also applies to the reload animations, which do not make use of modern-day speed reloading techniques. But that is not reflected in Call of Duty Vanguard, where holding and reloading techniques not used during WW2 (such as tactical reloads and C-clamp grips) are featured for no apparent reason. Edit: Despite this, the MG 42's fire rate in CoD Vanguard is a little bit more accurate than in CoD WW2.

Cold war suffered for to little time of development itself, vanguard is just, models taken from cw ww2 and mw2019, new engine and recicled animations (there are new animations and models, but not as much as how it has been recicled.) I like WW2, the campaign was great( like almost all campaigns) pretty cliche but nothing that bad, both multiplayer and zombies could’ve done a hell of a lot better but definitely not bad as ghosts, still trying out Vanguard since I’ve barely gotten it so I’ll edit this once I’ve completely tried it out. Edit: So I got through Vanguard and personally I think this game has pretty good campaign but this game makes it obvious that it’s been RUSHED, and when I say rushed I’m not talking about the story I’m talking about the fact that this campaign is SHORT, the story is great and it really is different, tops WW2 on my opinion but it feels like it was just half the game, like the whole campaign was half the story and it’s not like a cliffhanger or anything it was just too short, the multiplayer however is better than WW2 multiplayer, it’s pretty smooth, love the filters of what kind of game style you’d prefer, and it’s pretty straightforward. Zombies needs more work though, it really doesn’t feel too exciting at the moment but not surprised it barely came out a week ago. The guns in this game actually look better than WW2 guns and maybe even Cold War! But half of the gun sounds in this game sound pretty suppressed to the point where if you actually put a suppressor it sounds like a squeak, but again not surprised since Sledgehammer games usually tend to have gun sounds like those, just look at AW lol, I will say that the gunsmith in this game is pretty....different. I’m not the type to bring out “historical accuracy” but I’m pretty sure around 1940’s almost every soldier wasn’t carrying a gun that was SUPPOSEDLY an STG or MP40 and looks pretty outrageous, but I like different and besides COD isn’t about realism it’s an arcade style game. Overall so far I give this game a good 7/10, not as bad as Ghosts, BO4 or even AW, has potential to do a little more however, but like I said this game just came out I just hope there’s more to come especially on zombies I’ll edit this if or when my opinion changes. Another edit: Hehe I’m back, so over the time playing the game a little more I actually changed my opinion again and sadly...I think I give this game 6/10 now. Truly I love the way the graphics and the character movement compared to some past COD’s but it shouldn’t make up for the lazy campaign story and lack of actual research for a game that deals with real events for example like how Arthur mentions to Freisinger how his men(black men) took their women over their victory making it sound like a good thing when I’m reality when those men did take the victory they forcefully raped and abused the women and children, so Arthur gloating to Freisinger about this kinda makes me dislike Arthur hehe I guess now we know why Freisinger decided to smash Novak’s brains out. Not only that scene, even the part where Wade is captured by Japanese soldiers and the one soldier goes up to Wade and said “Do you speak Japanese”...if you played WAW you’d know actual and realistic writing for a World War 2 game. Multiplayer stays the same but it’s starting to get kinda bland and as far as I know I haven’t met or seen anybody that actually bought things from the shop because the guns look pretty ridiculous and the stats of your weapons are kinda complicated to modify because almost any attachment you out in your gun as little to no use but maybe that’s just meI won’t lie and Zombies....I only played that mode once and I already got so aggravated as to how low they went for my favorite mode of all time, I’d rather play the Spec Ops from MW 2019, YEAH it’s that ridiculous I mean it’s literally you teleporting to small parts of MP maps and killing zombies and that’s it so that’s where I’m gonna leave it off. I think Vanguard should definitely be a wake up call for Activision to actually let these developers put more time into their game and just have one or two years without them having to shit out another COD that has obvious signs that they were rushed, I don’t blame sledgehammer because from what I’ve heard they never wanted to release this game soon but since Infinity Ward needed more time their game which is probably MW2 2022 they were basically told by Activision to put their game out already. Activision needs to learn that not all of their ideas have to involve money at its end of the deal, they can do so much to make at least a decent COD where no one is disappointed by launch but that’s all I can say about Vanguard honestly and if I’m gonna be honest I would rather re-install BO3 and feel good, shit I would even re install BOCW, but I’m just gonna keep my past opinions up here to show how my opinions changed lol.

@@bustanut5501 well the multiplayer was outrageous at the time with the GIGANTIC maps and CAMPY players so it was pretty tedious, and the extinction mode was good but it wasn’t round based it was more level based and so you stand there like “is that it?” and it got kinda boring over time since you know how to beat it. And I like the campaign but It wasn’t around the top best really, the game is pretty unique and it had the BEST DLC out of all the COD’s I can give it that but out of all COD’s I would only consider this game better than probably AW and the DS games

For me cod ww2 was one of my many favourite call of duty’s just mainly down to the fact it was simple and made the most sense, of course it had its fair share of wacky and cool concepts with its gameplay, the variants of guns and melee weapons and a tonne of other things. For me it was a welcome back to the world at war style part of history. It was an amazing adaptation to the world war games. It was balanced in all sectors. If you put in the effort you got rewarded with hours of fun, cool variants to weapons ,cool emotes and all other things to do with customisation. It came with its downside/upside depending on how you view it of being able to buy your way straight into the fun by betting against the odds with supply drops to instantly obtain the things you’d grind for which created the effect of “the easy way or the hard way” but surprisingly I found that being able to obtain these weapons from supply drops to be a perfect ststem, of course again it had its limitations to gambling for the variants you wanted with random chance but in my opinion supply drops was the perfect mix in THIS game primarily due to the fact you could either earn them or buy them whereas to newer cods where you only HAVE to just buy them in packs for £11-£15 and you can’t earn the cooler skins IN game by being a good and devoted player . The gun play was perfect it was moderately true to life and it’s history,Almost all of the weapons felt powerful with the exception of a few here and threre and again compared to newer cods where you HAVE to only use meta weapons. The maps made sense, the period made sense and let’s be honest sledgehammers take on shipment in ww2 was quite honestly again in my opinion a qualified success. The somewhat success of this game prompted essentially a “part 2” which is vanguard but what made this game unique to me and what I comsider is the same for a lot of other people.. it’s completely butchered with the new trend of cods being “realistic” what made ww2 so popular and unique is just not visible in vanguard. It’s just a rinse and repeat of success. Of course ww2 wasn’t the best call of duty by all means but if something succeeds once you can’t just copy and paste. No amount of reused content to fill up their dying game can save it. Vanguard for me was a fail and Updates or no updates you can’t just keep on polishing a turd to make people eventually appreciate it. It’s still a pile of shit

I have played all the Call Of Duty games the franchise has offered & honestly WW2 was the most enjoyable of them all. Campaign wise it was really generic but fun to always go back to. Multiplayer was amazing to me, of course it wasn’t anything innovating but it felt like a classic Call Of Duty & that what made it shine in my eyes. No Black Ops Lootbox BS, great variety of cosmetics & weapon variants (I miss them) & we had a social hub. The maps were fun and great to run around in with the division & perks you can combine. Also Seasonal Events? That made it so much better getting free content. Zombie wise, I love it, SHG has done zombies in the most enjoyable way possible. Black ops zombies have always been boring and felt like you were forced to enjoy it instead of letting yourself do the work.

I would pick Vanguard not just because of sounds but rather the feel of the guns when firing them. For example, WW2 Feels like You're firing Airsoft guns where's in Vanguard is a lot different.

I enjoyed the ww2 campaign so much. The story, quick time events and intense moments all appealed to me. I enjoyed it so much that I beat the campaign like three-four times. I'm still kinda contemplating on whether to get vanguard or not

Apparently, it's an alternate history WW2, which is also one of the reasons why the gunsmith allows some pretty wild stuff. But that's just rumors. I read some articles stating that was the case, although I never heard Sledgehammer advertising it as such.

I honestly like the models in WW2. Vanguard has SOME improvement trying to make the guns accurate when it comes to reloads. Sounds of the guns in both games are really meh but still is better than Bo4’s crappy sounds. Zombies in WW2 is decent. Vanguard’s is really just bland, but I hope they fix it. I like the multiplayer in both games, but I’d rather focus it on WW2. It’s Not too hard and not too easy, being a balance of both, while Vanguard behaves the same as Cold War and MW2019 when it comes to camping and horrible map design. Campaign on both games are great it doesn’t matter what kind of story are they pulling it out. They just did it well, literally on par with some other good Cod games. These games are fine, just glad to see vanguard being a moderate improvement from WW2. I really think WW2 was meant to be a good game but people overlooked the game by just judging the book by its cover, simply just looking at the reloads and gun shooting sounds. That’s it and only thinking this is a bad game. Amazing reloads and gun sounds doesn’t mean the game is good, it just a category and is optional. It’s a nice touch if you want to make the game realistic as it is with accurate reloads and everything just like MW2019. Sure they worked hard on it, but isn’t needed. I would consider this as a good game if the gameplay performs well and not too tiring and gives both a good casual experience or a tryhard experience.

The reloading is so inaccurate, watch the M1 Garand reload… the rifle doesn’t even GARAND, its a non garand M1 garand. That doesn’t make sense. Also the K98K while you see the character insert the clip, you cant see him take the clip out. You can’t shoot a K98 with its clip still in it. I find COD VANGUARD really bad based on the inaccuracy of physics

Sounds in WW2 were alot heavier and meatier sounding, Vanguard is so muted like every gun is suppressed. I also prefer the more stylish and arcady reloads of WW2 they were really unique for each gun. Vanguard follows mw2019 where almost every gun has the same looking reload obviously going for the more realistic approach but stylish reloads to me are a hallmark of COD
