Historical authenticity and accuracy function wise aside, I love seeing all these lesser known firearms being created for big budget games. The assets are incredibly well made as a whole, and it's nice to see unusual weapons from this period, regardless of whether they were used or not. CoD WW2 and BF1 both do that pretty well

I'd say the animations are good and the sounds are alright for the most part. Some firing sounds don't sound amazing. Art wise, the dev team are exceptional, it's another debate entirely regarding the design team's decisions.

It's not the realism that I get annoyed with. Hell, I kind of applaud a shift away from the drab and the depressing same old Saving Private Ryan type shlock, I want stuff that's stupid goofy. But here it's just them getting some of the most basic things wrong with the weapons. No other COD has weapon goofs THIS egrieigous. The Enfield No 2 has the wrong barrel and reciever, the Sterling is actually the prototype, the Arisaka has a freakin' LEE ENFIELD MAGAZINE as its extended mag... That said, I will say this. They are at least improving, in terms of animation quality and some of the details being more correct. And I'll let them off with the Type 5, because let's face it, they were 100% copying what Battlefield Bad Company 2 did on that one. It's the only game I can think of that even tried to pretend the Type 5 existed, after all. But as a gun nut, when the game gets things THIS wrong THIS consistently, I have a problem.

Fun fact: The first suppressor was invented around 1902. They had them around for ww1 and 2. They did use them. Why didn't they use them more? It was still new technology. They were still in the process of figuring out of what makes the best suppressed gun. The other fact is suppressors do not make guns silent. A person can still hear it. Add the fact that they decrease the power and range of the bullet this suddenly makes it understandable for a person seeing it for the first time to be hesitant to adopt it. (You literally have to design an entire gun to be silent. Not the barrel)

M1 Health Potion The stinger was a real gun used in Iwo Jima. The Marines wanted a Browning that could be more mobile, so they slapped on a M2 carbine stock and a bipod from a BAR on a Browning LMG. Only 6 were made. So much for your research.

I don't think you quite get how firearms function lmao. It has to do with the straightness of the oprod, the tightness of the clips, and the tolerance of the recoil spring. If I don't load a clip in at all and the bolt is just resting on the follower (really the only way to get M1 thumb) then the bolt will slam home just fine if I push the follower down. If I load a clip of 7 rounds the bolt will slam home, but when I load a full clip, it'll need a little mechanical assistance sometimes.

Mistakes and errors I see: Revolvers: 1. The Reichsrevolver was rarely if not never used during WW2 2. Akimbo pistols was never a thing in the war 3. Suppressors can't be attached on the weapons Mas-38: 1. Extended mags didn't exist for this weapon 2. Suppressors can't be attached to this weapon Sterling(oh I am a little triggered with what they did here(I love this gun)): 1. Tho it's fine for it to be called the sterling, the real name of this gun is the Patchett machine carbine MKI or simply the Patchett 2. A the back piece is from the MKII variant which is ananathophic(or however you spell it properly) 3. The iron sights seen here don't even come close to the real ones (which were either the lanchester sights or the simplyfied ones) 4. The curved mag incorrectly holds 30 rounds when it should hold 34 5. Speaking of mags, the extended ones don't exist 6. Suppressors cannot be attached on the MK1 variant Bonus. Yes, holding a side-fed gun by it's magazine can cause jams, but I think British paratroopers were told to hold the curved mag sterlings like that because the curved mag was designed to be held like a grip. Type 5(4): 1.Tho it was a copy of the M1 Garand, it doesn't use the same en-block clips and instead use stripper clips. 2. I don't think that the type 4 can use detachable magazines. Itra burst: 1. It is actually called the Breda model 34 PG (or some thing along those lines) 2. The mag is not the curved 20 round mag that this gun uses 3. Speaking of that stupid mag, it holds 32 rounds rather than the curved mags 20 4. No extended mags either MG-81(I don't know a lot about this gun so plz forgive me): 1. The fire rate is a little slower than it should be (I don't know anything else, if you have info to put here, put it in the replies section plz) Type 38: 1. The bolt here is the standard design, which will have some troubles getting through the scope 2. The type 38 did not have any detachable magazine variants If I forgot anything leave down in the replies!😀

It's a single action revolver, with the side port reload, and the webley which is double action and uses a break open reload somehow does more damage, What is balance Sledgehammer, what is balance? 1. Type 5 (Extended mag)- The ping makes no sense... Like why would there be a ping sound when there is a removable mag? The En-Bloc which makes the ping sound when rapidly ejected is not needed if the mag is removable, but if there is a En-bloc in the type 4/5 it would mean that the mag is NOT removable, but instead would need a different animation similar to the M1 Garand. 2. Revolver suppressors- No. Just no. There were very small amount of suppressors in use during WW2, but those were for the M3 'Grease gun', Welrod and Sten Gun. Very few other weapons had them, and if they did were highly experimental. No revolvers (Except the WW1 Nagant) had a suppressor. But even then the Nagant was not designed for it because of the weird gas seal, and did not even originally have one. 3. Reichsrevolver- Holy shit, the reload animation is so fucking fast that I bet he had to have had 5 arms just to even do that... Really? That's all I can fault them on without getting into the nitty gritty, if I'm wrong please correct me but wow... And the developers said they want this game to be as realistic as possible...

Type 5 actually uses 7.7mm Arisaka stripper clips, and yes, the ping is out of place What's funny though is that Type 5 and 38 (actually 97 due to the scope) use Lee-Enfield magazines which are chambered for .303 lmao
