The fact that the officers were basically cordial, they were able to get more than enough information to identify you with, and didn't even need to ask for or demand your ID to get it. They got the following info from you: A man named "Sean" from New York, independent journalist, works with camera, recording a government building. All of that along side your physical description would be way more than enough info to figure out who you are.
@realburglazofficial26132 жыл бұрын
Which is where their investigation skills come into play. Demanding ID on threat of arrest and then running that ID through DAVID is a 4th amendment violation. Deducing a person’s probable identity through observations is not a 4th amendment violation. It’s actually quite refreshing to see cops flex the few brain cells they have devoted to ‘investigation’.

that's what kills me, you see it time and time again on these audits. cordial interactions almost always result in gathering info and good will, and the other ones, well....

I think Sean does that as a way to lead them down a path to help educate. The LEOs showed they don't like what he is doing by asking questions and staying with him. If they were not tyrants, they would have left him alone. No to mention, most LEOs know about LIA.

I don't think it's a big secret who he is lol. Once they see this video it isn't hard to figure it out! It's just the point of handing over your ID & having it ran when you've done nothing wrong is what Sean & all of us need to avoid!

The Police Officers 👮♀️ were OUTSTANDING. From their attitude and investigation of the suspect. To the Body cams and no intrusive questions or demands. Just calm questions within the law. Not even ending directions on what NOT to do and where not to enter I’d interfere. These are the kind of Officers that makes me Proud!! I would like to see a lot more of this kind of interaction with the Public and Police Officers. Great Job 👮♀️👮♀️Officers. BIG Thank You 🇺🇸🙏🏽🇺🇸

There's some nasty people out there getting paid BY us to be rude and contemptable TO us for no reason. If the cops went straight to the people that called and spent half as much time telling them you have every right to record in your building, non of this crap would happen. Massive self important and authority chip on their shoulders, seem to be striking back for some reason or other.
@Hear-MeoutTwo22 жыл бұрын
@Paul raper::: I believe you are correct to say if they talk to the caller and explain it would resolve the complaint but, I believe the cops find it easier to go to the person complained about and run them off. They would much rather please the caller or someone they know rather than to please the so called offender.
