The sad thing is how it works (in hospitals) now. I gave birth and can't remember much about my midwife, she had a mask and hair cover, I never saw her face (or just a few second in the dark and forgot about it cause I was so tired) and she never said her name; She was only here for the delivery, I had never seen her before and never saw her again after, not even the same day. She was just a vague figure of a human in weird blue clothes that gave me instruction for a few hours then was replaced by an other one because her shift ended. After that night I never so the 2 of them again and had other nurses to help, so many that I couldn't have any proper talk with them. That's a totaly anonymous and cold experience. Especially because I couldn't have done the birth preparation. Then after 2 days I left hospital and then I was left alone at home: no visit, no advices, no friends arounds like in the series. I just googled things to have answears. I wish home birth and community was more a thing again
