I love the PM Grind! ... I have it in 60/10... I never played much golf from 13-42 years old... But I got back into golf with my son, very recently... The 60/10 allowed me to build my swing (almost from the ground up, so to speak...)... Get the bottom half of my swing going... Then adding power... 4 months later, I'm mostly Par/Bogey with occasional Double Bogie... Occasional lost ball will be Double Triple Bogie... But, most of all, I can actually hit it properly now!... The flight that I get now, WOW! :) ... The tips/lessons on this Channel are awesome too!... Keep up the good work Rick!

I have the 56 bent to 55 and the 60 PM grind wedges and I love them. I can pull off so many different shots with these. When you look down at them they are practically begging you to open them up and be creative.

I just ordered the pm grind. tested last month and loved it. the look was kind of weird but once I hit a flop shot with it the look was so much more appealing. I love to hit flop shots and with this new wedge it will be much more fun. thanks for doing a wedge review, can't wait to see others

I bought the same club (last years model) the 56 and 60 degree. Awesome wedges its almost impossible to skull and gets the ball out of the high rough gras beautifully. It also feels and looks fantastic. Love the high toe.
@markfeldman65095 жыл бұрын
I have the 56 bent to 54 and the 60 and 64. I played Vokeys forever and tried these at a demo day in florida last year and was hooked. they are the easiest to control and spin and have incredible feel. awesome from bunkers, deep rough and incredible off of tight lies. The high toe is certainly reminiscent of the old Ping Eye 2’s but these are much more refined. once you get over the unconventional look with the high toe...these are just incredible.

I came here to see how the wedge was even though I really hate the look of it. But as soon as you said vice golf ball I was more interested in hearing what you thought about them. Is it possible to get a review/comparison of those vs Pro v1, taylormade tour preferred and Callaway chrome soft? Cheers rick. As always, great content.

I love the technology and thought process behind it, and I think I'll try one out. However, I would have liked it in the more "utilitarian" style like Phil uses, a raw head without the translucent green paint fill in the ports. It's designed to be a tool to get down in the dirt. They classed it up so it looks neat on golf store racks.

Anyone who loves the PM grind but wants a less lofted version, have a look at the MD3 forged wedges. It has the same R grind as the PM wedges but goes down to 50 or even 48 degrees. Feels just like the PM but a more normal head design and fills the gap nicely to your other clubs.
@GolfmagicPlus9 жыл бұрын
Callaway and Phil Mickelson have clearly put a lot of research into this one. Although not the sexiest wedge in the world it felt great off the face for us with an abundance of spin from all types of lie. The 60-degree offering is a gem.
@jgeary84739 жыл бұрын
Rick, I would add a grass review - spin is fine but how the grind interacts with the turf is the key in obtaining spin, the forgiveness of the grind (bounce), whether the club can escape and/or not get stuck in the ground (bounce), and the versatility of the club. Also, it looked as if your hands were a bit in front of the ball - try the hands even with the shaft using the full loft to obtain additional spin.

Like others opinions , this would seem to be Callaways (Cloned ) version of the Ping Eye 2 Wedge , still to this day the best wedge ever made. As they say imitation is the sincerest form of compliment.
@tatchy10019 жыл бұрын
Andrew Linch So the fact it has a higher toe makes it a clone? Ignoring the fact that it isn't a cavity, is forged rather than cast, has totally different grooves and completely different sole grinds. I would look up the word 'clone' if I were you
@andrewlinch53329 жыл бұрын
Well lets see Phil was still using the original Ping Eye 2 Wedge in 2010 and in 2014 he used the new Ping Eye 2 XG wedge in competition, so I think it is safe to say that Callaway looked at those Ping Wedges very closely when designing the new Ping sorry Phil inspired Callaway wedge lol.
@tatchy10019 жыл бұрын
Andrew Linch Ahh and there we have it. It is a wedge 'inspired' by another club rather than a clone. If you'd said Scotty Cameron, Odyssey and every other putter company made clones of the Ping Anser putter it would have been a fair point but to say that this wedge is a clone is incorrect He's obviously asked Roger Cleveland to design this wedge with the high toe because of the Ping wedge he was using, that's not in doubt and I've never said otherwise but as I say look up the word clone and you'll see your and other people's statements to that fact are just silly
@andrewlinch53329 жыл бұрын
Dictionary definition of a Clone is a product that is similar to a already existing product, my original point was factually correct
@tatchy10019 жыл бұрын
Is it Cast, is it a cavity back, does it have the same groove pattern is the sole the same, is it even the same shape as in a more rectangular face like the ping eye 2 irons The answer is NO to all of them. You may as well say all wedges are clones of each other if you're going to make such sweeping generalisations so you are not factually correct at all

I like it for sure I just feel like my Vokey wedges are so consistent that I can be confident with them even if another manufacturer comes out with a wedge that spins 500 rpm's more aka this or Cleveland...too much spin can take away from distance for me too sometimes but seems like a cool wedge but gonna have to pry the Vokey's out of my cold dead hands lol keep up the good work Rick!
@goodshoes079 жыл бұрын
Could never use these purely down to looks. And they would never spin on the firm greens at my home course. Spin is only effective if the green is receptive! I recommend john letters wedges! Cheaper than all others and just as good
