It's not suddenly, when someone launches from a cannon it makes a distinct sound. So if you find someone on your ship after hearing that, it's pretty obvious they landed on the ship. It's all about awareness my friend.

Only time I've reported for hacks is when an enemy was literally teleporting around our ship the second we surfaced for hour glass. He was teleporting between decks and perfect blundering us from bottom deck to top lol. Best part is that his name was SOT TPCLIENT

I remember during arenas 1V1s hackers would spin your ship upside down or even make it go right round baby right round super fast your game bugs so bad you no clip through your ship and theyd br flying around and aimbotting. Deck shots are the least of their worries when you run into someone who can make your boat spin

These are some of the worst servers of any game I've ever played. I'm willing to bet the server lagged in updating his side and not yours after you missed the first blunderbuss. That would make it seem fluid on your side but to him, you just shot him twice almost instantly with the blunderbuss and "teleported" from wheel stairs over to the left of the mast. Happens all the time to me and my friends. What makes things worse is that this game has a habit of only lagging during pvp. You'll play for an hour against the engine with no issues and the second another ship or player starts shooting its framey.
