Blazer fan here --- Celtics beat reporter came on a Blazer centric podcast and said reason the Brog trade did not happen was Porzingis was on a deadline to except his option with the Wiz like under 24 hours and the Clips did not have time to fly Brogs out to give his a physical so THAT is why that deal fell through

Agree that Myles isn't going to get traded, people forget how young he is because he entered the league so long ago and he was a great fit with Tyrese; Pacers have no reason to move him unless the return is crazy. Instead of the Hawks, I'd actually like to see the Wolves trade for Grant, I think they already have their young core so they can give up a pick or KAT and have the Blazers flip KAT for picks. They played really well with KAT out and running through Ant/Gobert/Conley I think he would be awesome for them and make them really scary.

Brogdon to Clippers : The return to the Blazers is laughable. Why would they give away Malcolm's leadership for those young cats in exchange of scraps? Myles to NY : Agree with you. He's perfect in Indy. Why would the Pacers pair up Obi and Mitch since it didn't work in NY lol? Turner is top 6-7ish center in the league. Turner to NY would def improve them drastically, but that's not enough to win. Tyus to Miami : Wizards sure, might as well get more assets for the full rebuild and flip Duncan as well. Miami's offense improves, but it still doesn't move the needle enough for them imo. Grant to Atl : Very solid trade. Obviously not enough, but legit improvement. OG to Mavs : Incredible deal for Mavs. They would be one piece away (unless Lively becomes incredible) from being legit contenders. Raps get very good young players and as you said, a solid pick.

If im the mavericks in this deal im not taking it because it’s premature. If we make that trade we would have an 8 man rotation that looks super sketch towards the end. You would need to rely on both rookies omax and lively (although i think both will be good but relying on them immediately is risky) and our forward depth would look even more sketch, THJ would be our 6th man, which with him is insanely hit or miss. Our starting line up finally has good defense but our bench would have horrid defense, maxi kleber looks washed, omax is a rookie and thj was never a good defender. If you had a better idea of what lively and omax would give you then you do the deal, if you can find a way to take out josh green you do the deal. As it currently stands probably not

For how these trades are pictured as some championship contending altering trades they are pretty lackluster, barring maybe the OG trade. Improvements? Sure. But none of these deals turn these playoff teams annex championship outsiders into teams like the Nuggets, Bucks or Celtics. For the Clippers it's also much simpler than adding external talent. @@jacobfournier4880 one of them sure. But again, that’s a very niche skill. You know who else is ? Drummond, and he’s a backup on a play-in team right now. Myles has significantly more offence. It’s not even remotely close. He’s a better shooter from everywhere, he has a better post game, it’s much more than just ‘a little bit more spacing’. It’s significantly more spacing, production and offensive utility. Especially on a team that’s starting rj barrett and Julius Randle, and has Brunson who loves to drive. Huge contract ? Myles is literally making 5 mill more than Robinson per year lol. That’s marginal, especially with the big talent disparity.
