I actually really like the Warriors "crack the core" trade and here's why: Warriors: This looks like a 2k trade for them, they get arguably the best 2-way gaurd in Jrue, another elite 2-way gaurd in Victor, and the perfect C to run with the team. Pretty realistic to say they would automatically become league favourites, quite likely everyone will go back to hating the Warriors too. Pacers: Finally start a rebuild and manage to get the perfect PF to go alongside Sabonis (who is now moved to the C) , while being able to draft one of Ball, Edwards or trade for another young talent. Pelicans: Get to remove Jrues big contract, who didn't fit the timeline, and recieve another large contract. However, Wiggins could be the perfect fit for the team, as he wouldn't be relied upon to score, fits the teams timeline, and is not a terrible spot up shooter. They also receive a very good pick next year as the Timberwolves will likely have the 8-16th pick in the draft

Thoughts on every trade: - White for Huerter. I like it. It probably helps Atlanta more than San Antonio. - Gobert for all that stuff. I like Gobert on Boston but this would be an overpay. He only has a year on his deal. - Oladipo for LeVert. Is Oladipo actually better than LeVert? - Gordon to Charlotte. Aren't he and Bridges basically the same player? Charlotte needs high-end talent. They should take a swing with the pick. - Simmons to the Bulls. I like it, but not if you have to trade all that shooting. You need shooting around Ben. I like it for the Sixers though. They get shooting and playmaking - Drummond to Charlotte. Why not? - Kleber to NO for Redick. Great for NO, but why would Dallas do this? They already have Seth Currry. Why get rid of a defensively versatile stretch big? Your main issue is defense - CJ for Blake. I don't mind it for Detroit. Don't think it's worth the risk for Portland - Three-team Warriors deal. Seems like it benefitted the Warriors way more than the other teams. - Harden trade. I thought this was good value for Houston. Might take another pick or two. For Brooklyn, it's a no-brainer. - Turner to Charlotte. Keep the pick instead - Rubio to the Clippers. Isn't Beverley and Shamet an overpay? - Oladipo for Green and Kuzma. Like it for both sides. Fair value - Beal to Memphis. Good deal for both sides. Throw in another pick if necessary - Kuzma for Nunn. I'm with you: who cares? I do think it probably helps LA more than Miami though - Lowry to Milwaukee. Was he smoking crack? Lowry has one year left and is in his 30s. He's not worth that even on a longer deal. Also, how does it "solve everything" if you gut your depth? Worst trade in the article. - Gordon to the Wolves. Seems about right - Gobert to New Orleans. Value seems right, but the fit is terrible. Also, does NO really want to pay Gobert what he'll command when they have to worry about Ingram and Zion's salaries down the road? - Lavine for 8 and some mediocre players. I'd pass if I were the Bulls. Lavine is likely better than whoever will be drafted at 8 - Paul on the Jazz. That would be amazing for the Jazz. Why would the Thunder do that though? Sure, you get off Paul's salary, but you also have to give up a pick _ Hield and Holmes to Orlando. I like it all right. They're not going to blow it up, so you might as well add shooting - Harris and Thybulle for Conley. Makes sense for both sides, in my opinion. Philly gets playmaking, Jazz get a promising young piece and a pick - Ben Simmons for Booker. Philly would do it because it makes them a title favorite, but why would Phoenix? - CJ for Klay. Maybe Portland throws in about four more picks. - Collins for Bagley. Would take more than that to get Collins, in my opinion. If it was for Bagley and Hield and the pick, I might consider it. Bagley can be Collins if he's ever healthy - Horford and Thybulle for Aldridge and Patty Milles. I'm not convinced you have to pay that much to get off Horford. Also, it doesn't make your team better, which should be the goal of a Horford trade - OG for #1. Raptors would have to offer more. Maybe for OG and Powell or something. - Love for Conley. Where does Love fit on a team that already has Ingles and Bogdanovic? - Wall to Charlotte. I wouldn't do it if I were either team. Washington should give Wall and Beal a year together

I am a Miami Heat fan, and that trade for the heat getting Kuzma and giving away Nunn is the worst trade ever. Kuzma can't hit a shot for his life and is probably not going to be very good, even in his prime, which is most likely right now. Kendrick Nunn is only a rookie who was 2nd in ROY voting (although it was a landslide) and made All-Rookie First Team. Nunn has the potential to be a superstar in the NBA while Kuzma will only be remembered for winning a title with LeBron. Let me know what you guys think.

Straight up, the Lakers cant even get Nunns shoes for Kuzma
@theirryhenryowns4 жыл бұрын
Playing GM for these trades 1) Atlanta: Yes, White is an instant improvement to build around a bad defensive team. San Antonio: Yes, time to start a rebuild, let's see what the young shooter can do for us 2) Boston: Yes, improve at position most of need. Hayward is a bigger loss than some think, but Gobert is a bigger addition also. Utah: No, I think Gobert is worthy of the large extension he's seeking and we want to contend with Mitchell. 3) Brooklyn: No, we're looking for a 3rd star that is certain... not a potential 3rd star. 4) Indiana: No, we have to hold out hope that Oladipo proves his value to be higher than this package 4) Charlotte: No, this doesn't make sense for a rebuilding team to add a piece to get better now and give up the 3rd overall pick. Orlando: Yes, we only have to give this up to get to 3??? 5) Chicago: Yes, we can now go into full rebuild centered around a young stud of a player instead of around LaVine. Philadelphia: No, Simmons value is higher than this package given to me. 6) Cleveland: Yes, we jump up to one of the top 3(big drop off after top 3 in this draft) and only give up a player we're going to move on from soon. Charlotte: No, stay at 3 and take the potential stud. We don't need to just be adding pieces at this point. 7) Agree with Kenny, I like this trade on both sides. 8) Denver: No, I don't think the Murray/Beal fit is great and Michael Porter Jr. is a valuable asset. Washington: 50/50 because what to do with this team... will our fan base be upset if we realize we aren't a contender and start rebuilding? I say Yes to this trade because I think the Wizards need to start over 9) Detroit: No, we are in rebuild mode and need the better draft picks at this point. If we can't move on from Griffin this year, let's hope he has a good year and increase value and then we can trade him. Portland: Yes, it's obvious what we're doing isn't really working. Take a flier on Griffin and see if he comes back healthy plus we move up in the draft? I'm in. 10) Golden State: YES!, New Orleans: Yes, I think I do this trade. We get a valuable 2021 pick, and Wiggins who could prove useful for a player we're looking to move on from. Indiana: No, the value we get back for what we give up is just not good. 11) Houston: Hell no, Brooklyn: Yes. I don't care if the fit isn't perfect... this give us 3 of the best scorers in the nba. 12) Indiana: Yes, 3rd overall is too valuable to pass up. Charlotte: Still no, why do you keep trying to make us give up 3? 13) LAC: Yes, Not much too give up for a playmaker of Rubio's ability. Phoenix: No, I'll keep Rubio over the other 2. Beverley isn't as good of a defender as people say he is. 14) LAL: Yes, Not giving up very much for a potential 3rd star. Indiana: No, still gotta hope Oladipo's value proves higher than this. 15) Memphis: Yes, I think we need a star and a good shooter at that. (this was tough for me, I love Brandon Clarke) Washington: Yes, see above Wizards comment about starting over 16) LAL: Yes, I'll take Nunn over Kuzma. Heat: No, I'll take Nunn over Kuzma. 17) Milwaukee: No, I thought this trade might be too much for just the players involved, and you want to add 2 1st? Nahhh. Toronto: Yes, huge haul for Lowry. 18) Minnesota: Yes, we get better now and don't give up too much in assets, Orlando: Yes, if this is the best offer for Gordon we can get 19) Utah: No, I don't think this trade makes us better now. And it upsets Mitchell most likely as they drop in quality. New Orleans: No, I think Ball and Hayes have a future with this team and I don't think Gobert makes us good enough next year to contend for Western Conference... and then we don't want to tie up the money in Gobert sacrificing future extensions. 20) New York: No, because this just sets back our rebuild by trading away assets needed to build. Chicago: Yes, if this is the best offer we can get for LaVine. We need to be in rebuild mode and LaVine is not a centerpiece to rebuild around. 21) OKC: No, we can get more for CP3. Utah: Yes, we give up very little to become a better team next year. 22) Orlando: Yes, this gets Mo Bamba more minutes while acquiring assets towards a future. Sacramento: No, I think this makes us better right away, but we want to be good in 2 or 3 years. 23) Philadelphia: No, yes Harris has a bad contract, but we don't need to give up this much. Let's take a chance that Harris has a better season this year if this is the best offer we can get. Utah: Duh, we trade one bad contract and yes absorb another but the assets we get back make us a more all around team and progress towards future. 24) Philadelphia: No, this might not be a popular opinion around the league but if I'm GM Ben Simmons is my number 1 asset... I'm only looking at offers for comparable or better superstars. Phoenix: Yes, I value Ben Simmons more highly than Devin Booker. 25) Golden State: No, why are we changing things when the Steph window is closing. Portland: Yes, Thompson is enough of an improvement over McCollum to sacrifice the other assets. And a change probably makes Dame happier. 26) Sacramento: No, I don't think Collins is enough of an improvement in our window to sacrifice the assets. Atlanta: Yes, because we acquire more assets to surround Trae and look to splash big in free agency next year. 27) San Antonio: No, we need to ship our older assets for young assets or draft picks ideally. Philadelphia: No, this move doesn't make sense for us. 28) Minnesota: No, if this is the best offer we can get for #1, I pass and draft best available. Toronto: Yes, the #1 pick for OG Anunoby??? 29) Utah: Yes, Love fits well with what we have and we don't have to give up much. Cleveland: Yes, we need to move on from Love and this is enough I think but only if this is the best offer we can get. 30) Washington: No, we have to think that John Wall is more valuable than having to give up 9 to get off his contract. And only getting an inefficient shooter and another bad contract in return? Pass. Charlotte: Yes, Devonte isn't as good as some people would have you think, he was incredibly inefficient and due for a regression next year. We pick up a bad contract but the future asset is worth it here.

1:10 some people want to see Derrick White moved to create more room for Dejounte, Lonnie, and Keldon to improve since they supposedly all have higher ceilings than White. On the other hand PATFO is sometimes unconventional with player development and what they do might leave room on the table for White to stick around, or not even invest in Dejounte, Lonnie, and Keldo in the first place.

I think a guy that’s most likely to get moved is Jrue Holiday. It would be fun to see him and Chris Paul swap places and run that show w Zion Ball and Brandon Ingram. He’d be a perfect vet to plug in over there and finish his career. But I gotta say as I go thru teams and players salaries, specifically the high side guys, the deals are almost all dead on arrival from a flexibility stand point. Some dudes make so much and teams are basically stuck w them or have to really lose on the trade or nobody will play ball w them. For example.. Middletons deal of 37 mil is ridiculous and nobody can say he’s worth that much other than Milwaukee. Same goes for Westbrook and Cp3 and John Wall. Not saying they aren’t bad asses but what team gonna try to acquire them that can afford to take the hit and has the pieces in place to fit them plus compete for titles too?! Not many and the rest are too smart to risk their budgets at the moment.

Og for number 1 it is a fun trade to think about. I don't know if it helps the wolves long term but it gives them what they need a good 3 and d wing beside Dlo and KAT why not go for it

The Bulls have Daniel Gifford off the bench who has potential to be a very productive high energy pick and roll finisher and defender. Y’all got a steal on him in the 2nd round.

Whoever the Pistons get for Blake Griffin potentially isn’t going to be around for the future when the team is actually good again. In this trade they’re taking their #7 for #16 basically because having CJ or Blake isn’t changing their team.

The Celtics need a center who can rebound and stretch the floor. Rim protecting is a plus

Warriors probably wouldn’t trade Draymond for the culture, even if that time is way better on paper and ridiculously good. I have to think that Indiana could find better for Turner and Dipo.

What’s wrong with kevin love to the Mavericks. Im no mavs fan but i think if you find the right package love can fit on the mavs playing the 4 and kristaps. Lukas drive and kick game with love would be elite

As a Celtics fan I really hate the Rudy Gobert trades. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are at their best when they can attack an open paint. Gobert will cause too much bunching in the paint. The Celtics need to look for a shot blocking center that can knock down the three ball. Myles Turner is the obvious answer but a sleeper player I would love to go after is Mo Bamba

Mavs fan here. I don't hate the trade but I don't think its what we need cause we've got Curry and Hardaway who are both 3pt shooters and I don't know if losing Kleber is great either cause we aren't deep at the forward spots
