Thats why i stopped at chapter 341. While yes there are a lot of unfinished plot line if you stop reading there, but everyone was happy. Casca get her memory back. Guts reunited with casca. They are just so happy man. Then 342 happen. No offense to miura and his successor, but i really think that berserk should be retired.

I know it's not so popular but I love the Lost Children Chapter of the Conviction Arc. It's the perfect start of the transition from Edgelord Guts to just Guts. He is still edgy but mellows through his interactions with Jill. That's SO GOOD

@@agsiar it also shows just how fucked in the head the journey so far has made Guts. He used live bait, dangling a kid off the end of his sword. Then led the monsters into a barn, set the barn on fire, and *exploded out the back.* Even if he was keeping the kid's safety in mind, cuz I think Guts really did intend for him to survive, that is the strategy of a crazy person. And his fighting only gets more insane from there. It's a perfect setup for Guts to realize that he NEEDS other people around, or else he'll lose himself to the violence.

Calli's experience reflects the fascination I had when I first read it. I downloaded it during school one day and binged it all through the night. I didn't care how sleep deprived I was I wanted to know that world and story. Every scene was beautiful and full of the author's feelings. It might never be finished the way it was intended, but it's worth reading all the same. As for an anime there have been a few fan projects going around so keep an eye on those.
