Nice reaction. They did perform this recently. I saw a fan came of it. but they didn't get much of anything from the stage. This is starting out to be another get the crowd crazy song during concerts. Sounds like another great festival song too. So nice to have you back reacting to Babymetal.

I think the album will be February or March next year, the end of tour concerts are January so the timing would make sense, so they should drop 3 or 4 more songs this year

I am not sure where I heard that, but it was way back when they announced the first dates for the sabaton tour, I remember there was a discussion about booking your trip without even having the concert dates or knowing if you have tickets. I didn't immediately like the song, but by the second listen, I really like it. We've never heard Su-metal's voice like this before and it is super kawaii, and he voice is powerful in this one. I can't imagine how fun this would be live. Great to see you again Callie!

I got hyped like an idiot in the simplicity of this song and Momoko's solo part in the middle that gives an amazing accent in the repetitiveness. This song follows after the Kami's instrumental. You've already seen the music video! It was really good. 祭りだ！わっしょい！！🏮 It was the same with megitsune, when a song has a lot of Japanese culture in it, it is difficult to explain. Read only if you are interested, as the content may be a little removed from the song itself. METALI is a word that adds METAL and 祭り(Matsuri=festival). And this song is a representation of a Japanese 夏祭り(Natsu Matsuri=summer festival). For us Japanese, these sound and lyrics make our Matsuri blood boil. Matsuri is the heart of the Japanese people. It is said that there are a total of 300,000 festivals in Japan, both large and small. Matsuri means a ritual for worshiping Gods or Buddha, or an event held in gratitude towards nature. 神輿(Mikoshi=portable shrine) is a carriage for Gods. In the festival, Japanese people get around the Mikoshi and carry it on their shoulders in order to worship Gods. While carrying the Mikoshi, the carriers will yell "Wasshoi, Wasshoi" or "Soiya, Soiya" or "Sore, Sore".(However, the calls vary considerably from region to region.) 神輿(Mikoshi=portable shrine) and お囃子(Ohayashi=festival music) of Matsuri have a history of more than 1,000 years and are etched in the DNA of the Japanese people. "Pii hyara" in the lyrics is the sound of a 篠笛(Shino bue=transverse flute) used at Matsuri. "Dokkoisho" is the voice used when lifting heavy objects, but it is also used in shouting. MOMOMETAL speaks in the middle, that is 歌舞伎(kabuki) speaking. MOMOMETAL's odd pose is the Kabuki climactic pose. The lyrics "Odorin chai" and "Utain chai" are in the dialect of SU-METAL's birthplace, Hiroshima. I have no idea if that is Momo or not, BUT Momo IS a prankster like Moa and she IS very playful. Her father was a comedian, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was her. At first I thought it was just a fill-in with maybe Mikiko doing that part as the solo part sounds like an older person, but Momo might be the one after all lol

Everyone is saying that's Momoko's voice... Probably it is but... How can it be the voice of a young woman? To me it sounds like the voice of a grown/old lady. And by the way the intro sounds like the intro of that famous song by Punjabi MC, and the song overall have clearly "CMFT Must Be Stopped" by Corey Taylor vibes (Babymetal were in the official video of that song).

The video still has not premiered as i am typing this. It is such a shame about copyright and it seems to be of a greater issue in the UK. Parts of the USA are able to play and react to entire BabyMetal video and not get blocked. I really hope it is a decent video. A actual music video as opposed to studio audio over concert footage, with lame video effects. I am surprised at how much I enjoyed this latest release. I recall your reaction to Distortion, when that was released and I feel the same way about Meteli Thank you for your review Callie. Hi Callie and so happy to see you again... I seldom watch reaction videos but since it was you! honestly I don't know where Tom Morello comes from or what he does. Simply listening to it as a Babymetal track - yes its a crowd pleaser for live performance. But I am wary (as I'm sure you are too) of people trying to put Babymetal in a pigeon-hole which says "you must always sound like this, not like that, don't try anything new or experimental". They have achieved so much, and now have a decent back-catalogue of proven material. Quite honestly I'd give them the benefit of the doubt even if they decided to record a track with Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus. Who have also weathered the perils of the 'teen sensation to credible adult artist' route.

🤘🦊🤘🔥🔥 This song is crazy crowd hyping with tons of crowd participation. This will be too much fun LIVE. I can already see this being the girls favorite to perform live. Smiling the entire time. No Momoko growl in the studio version though. But YES she DID growl as she yelled "Are you ready?!" in the LIVE performance according too the people that were actually THERE.
