Both Steamers and Diesels also have ejectors, brakes, couplings, buffers, windows, drivers, nonrenewable fuel sources, metal parts, axles, paint, and lamps

1:48 that face of Diesel's is new and only in calling all engines

@93DOL He ws never designed to be evil. None were, until Thomas went to Hollywood... Diesel was meant to be a devious troublemaker. Always has, always will. Plus, Christopher Awdry made Diesel nice in Thomas and the Evil Diesel, so HIT weren't the first. Besides, I don't mind if ANY diesels are kind and nice, as long as it's explained. It just shows that they all respect each other and they can all work together when needs be. And that is a great message to send to kids

@Railwaystation1 I know, this just pointed out so many obvious things :P

yes indeed diesel engines and steam engines like to be really useful and they do have things that are the same. but in the way they work they are very different.

The diesels are normally bigger than the steam engines. Diesel, 'Arry, and Bert are quite big compared to Thomas, in terms of their engine shapes. And D261 "The Diesel" (who doesn't appear in this movie) is bigger than Gordon and Henry, even though his wooden railway model is shorter.

@ThomasPercyandToby2 yeah I suppose you're right, from what I got the impression Awdry created Diesel to be evil as diesels at that time took over steam engines, but then he brought in diesels Rusty and Daisy to show not all diesels are bad, like I said maybe your right but that was impression I got

@ThomasPercyandToby2 I thought this was to show that despite differences everyone can work together for a common goal.

When I first saw Calling All Engines, I thought the segments were a bit odd and yes they did kinda bother me but I brushed them off eventually. Although the dream sequences should have been either cut out or the diesels should have had those dreams. Other than that I guess it was okay. I really wanted to see Diesel 10 have a larger role at being a villain though

Is this a segment that was deleted?

It was. But it was included in the DVD’s bonus features (in the UK at least)

@TMRReturns yeah lol But I think it's creepy as Rev W Awdry made him to be evil and he looks too nice

@trainboy62 I like it, but as I said in my review, I didn't like the learning segments. This one just makes kids feel stupid

@FeatherWings78 I think @blackoutcam14's comment was a joke aimed at the racism Thomas shows in recent series.
