That an HP tool and you are using the Ryobi batteries that are not HP. So you are not getting the tools full power

HP tools have it built into the tool so you don't need the battery.

Got the 21 degree the day it came out and love it. Went through 3000 nails so far no problem. It's a beast. But I would use better batteries.

Just a heads up, for the ryobi "HP+" tools such as this one, you're supposed to use an "HP" battery. They have a couple extra contacts on them, and they apparently unlock extra performance from the HP+ tools. Though frankly I'm not sure exactly what that might be. Maybe some sort of fancy battery management? (since there's the two extra battery contacts). The HP batteries work with all other ryobi tools though. Also the 2ah battery you had will technically work, it will just be even slower to recharge the internal air cylinder (that is used for firing)

I got the same information somewhere. I have both battery types purchased a week ago, and they have the exact same terminals at the exact same place. Seems like a marketing gimmick to get a few more bucks for the same battery. Who doesn't want the "Exta Performance " battery. Hell, they even look cooler, so they have to be better, probably not.

@@markw2266The regular batteries and the HP batteries do not have the same terminals. While they have the same power terminals, on the rear side of the terminal post, the HP batteries do have an additional terminal. There is a difference in operation. The cuts with HP saws using HP batteries are smoother and you can even hear less of a power loss when cutting thicker materials.

Bro nail gun 101!!!!! Never have your hand that close to your receiving wood ( when you were nailing the boards up right)

I learned the reason for this with a small project that I was working on with a brad and pin nailer. The nails don't ALWAYS go perfectly straight. Pin nails also go right through your finger quite quickly...

was trying to decide on 21 deg or 30 deg and you helped me go with 30 deg,good vid just watch the hands i was cringing on that smaller wood. stay frosty and head on a swivel.

So what are the advantages of this over the 21%? Can you use the full headed nails in this gun? Or do you have to use clipped?
@tikkigodman
@tikkigodman Жыл бұрын
@@reedcarpenter2994both 21 and 30 can use full head nails. 30 gun is slightly more compact. Also the 30 deg nails are held together with paper and 21 deg nails are held together with plastic strips. So it eill eject plastic when you shoot 21deg nails. More mess

I noticed the 30 deg looks to hold twice the nails before reload on the 21. That’s the selling point for me

If you read the manual you will have to top that gun off with air eventually but It should go through a couple 100 nails but I'm not for sure what it came from the factory I know mine does. The one I have is a rigid frame nailer but it's the looks identical to that 1. They Probably came out the same factory just use different plastic. When looking at the nailer itself where you have to take a plastic plate off it's in front of the magazine that little indention like it's Hiding something that's what you're looking for you've got to take that plastic. Off and it will reveal a nozzle. You can attach an air hose to it. It does come with an Allen wrench. It's probably hidden around the magazine that's where mine was good luck.

Thanks for the tip! I did read up on that. There is an allen wrench tucked in there for access :) Thanks for watching!

The two-nail mode are sequential mode (single fire) and bump mode (rapid continuous fire upon bumping) I have Ryobi pin, Brad, and finish nail guns so I may give their framing nail gun a try. Although I have several pneumatic farming nail guns, I don't have a cordless framing nail gun. But I am formular with the Ryobi AirStrike technology from my Ryobi AirStrik finish nailer. So, I'll give it a go, great review, thanks.

So what's the purpose of the 21 vs the 30 degree nails? Is there any benefit from one to the other? I notice you got the 30 degree one.

Any battery nailer should be oiled properly. Oil striker rails and then turn gun upside down and oil down striker until you saturate striker pump. The gun will run all day when lubricated, also don’t buy cheap nail of any size.

Building off what @mattw4211 said, that 750 nails per charge is for the 4.0 HP battery. The battery you got is not the HP battery. So, you should still get quite a few nails with one charge, but it would likely be less than the 750 nails.

Once you get a nail in your finger you’ll know better to hold your hand back far enough with without even thinking about it. 🤫🤣
