I did some research and the one about the hikers being lost in the woods is based on fictional characters in a book called “This Wretched Valley” by Jenny Kiefer. Sylvia Burnett, Luke Woodhaven, Clay Foster, and Dylan Prescott are the characters in the book. Apparently, the author got inspiration from the Dyatlov Pass incident. In the 50s, some hikers went exploring in mountains in Russia, and disappeared.
