Kevin, so far, is the only person who hasn't just fallen down the ladder instead. Like everyone I've watched accidentally fell and Rose just took it like a champ. It's somewhat ironic that Kevin, a man who constantly causes accidents, was safe and climbed the whole way down!

@@puirell I was part of a scouts group - I don't know if it's different in Germany (where I live) and in other countries; it was basically some type of daycare or group activities, where the supervised kids grow up over the years to eventually become the supervisors. well, there was this event called (roughly translated) "summer camp", where the adults watched over the kids for 2 weeks in a camp with tents and so on. One of the events in those two weeks was the "ghost path", where the adults dress up to scare the children. The children have to walk through the woods while the adults hide or show themselves, and scare the kids. It also depends on the age, how bad they scare them. Well, I was part of the youngest kids group back then. And at the entrance of the path, two of them waited; dressed up; motionless; just wore their hoods (you couldn't see their face) and just stood there, not moving. THAT was the one and only part where I was scared and instantly crying xD I am guessing I had this mannequin fear long before I even thought about it... (that was ~20 years ago)

I'm so glad you played this DLC, Kevin. I played it the other day and haven't really seen many others to compare opinions. But my mindset to yours was pretty much the same at the end of it that it tied everything up nicely. And I must admit I found it strange that they keep Ethan's face hidden but I personally still got emotional when Rose got to meet her dad "face to face". ☺️💜

They wanted the player to be Ethan, to actually be him so they always wanted his face to be invisible. Which I find stupid personally. But I cried in this DLC. Ethan connected to me heavily for some reason, like. I think his attitude, his dedication, and just being screwed over for being a great partner and dad just made him my fave Resident Evil character. I still find him dying stupid. And I was hoping this DLC gave us hope he didn't, but no. Can bring back other characters but not Ethan.

This DLC was soooooo good. Made me like 8 more then I did, which I wad a tad lukewarm on. But this and replaying the base game has made me really like it. The tie ins with Eveline from 7 and the cutscene at the end of 8 (which confused me too) was so well done. My heart both dropped and got really excited when getting to the doll house again. The baby part of 8 was the absolute highlight for me and i knew we were in for a horror treat when going back. Boy did they pull out all the punches. Oh. My. God. That mannequin part was horrific. First with the one silently stalking you when doing the doll portions just kinda being there around corners or behind doors. Then when you need to watch it at all times, then by the end like 5 of them are on your tail. it built on that dread so well. I had the same exact reaction when I first saw it move, was so uncanny and terrifying. Was a really cool concept that was very well done! Gave me weeping angel vibes from Dr Who. Thank you for all your wonderful content!

Okay, interestingly when I watched playthroughs of Resident Evil Village, I would imagine myself as an auror that was sent on there. I’d imagine what a Harry Potter wizard would do. Also I imagined that I was an animagis and my animal was a dragon. Not only do I love dragons but it also allowed scenes like when big boob lady turns into a monster more believable. So I in fact did like your merging of these two universes.
