This game had an unique essence that lasted until Ninja gaiden 2. All Sigma versions and 3/razor's edge became a Dead or Alive advertising. Instead of giving us NG1 tier quality games, they just made the franchise a "super hero ninja" with (of course) a lot of fanservice to sponsor the girls from DoA

Ninja Gaiden 1 was a truly unique gem of a game, because it actually didn't turn out the way Itagaki had envisioned, but became something incredible in its own right. Apparently, the more arcade-y NG2 was closer to what he had in mind, yet NG1 took the basic mechanics of DMC3 and expanded on them in a way that really created something incredible. The balance of offense and defense was something I've always wanted to see more of, but sadly, the game remains unique in that regard.

I really loved the atmosphere in Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox. I have played this game for three times and I beat them on the XBOX and the PS3 version. Ninja Gaiden blows Ninja Gaiden 2 and ofcourse Ninja Gaiden 3 by a mile. I love this game.

Wish there were more levels like these in the game instead of military stuff and the aquaduct. Woulda made this game perfect in every way. Still a great game just felt some levels were filler and out of place and i wanted more ninja oriented stuff.

Well to be fair Ninja Gaiden always take place in cities, military bades, jungles, villages, Fiend realm(? They never focus in just one place or ambience

This Ninja Gaiden theme really fits the stage perfectly Love That Panflute 🎶🎶✨😁and the pretty much the whole soundtrack to the XBOX NG is awesome But I can't leave the Original NES 8-bit tracks on all the 3 Ninja Gaidens awesome as well that my generation I have yet to play NG3 on Xbox 360 but it's all good 💖✔👍

Man this game was amazing, but the sequels never impressed me that much. It had beautiful graphics, great music, good story, great play control and women with big boobs. NG2 just didn't do it for me.

They took out the skill aspect. In NG2 they substituted amazing AI and gameplay for sheer numbers. Quantity over quality. I won't even start on the travesty that is NG3..

TheManOfRash You´re right, also the story was best in NG 1 in NG 2 it was a little bit the same but never as good and a lot of bosses were just there so..... NInja Gaiden black is to me one of the alltime best games ever made !

+blubitatub I think NG2 was pretty good, but it simply wasn't groundbreaking like the first one. It's true that it might have been slightly easier, but then again maybe it's just because we sharpened our skills with the first one and the controls were pretty much the same in the sequel? One thing's for sure, NG had a better story overall, there was good revenge thing going on, and a pretty nice plot twist near the end.

i did them myself. they came out really bad since they don't loop correctly, so i plan on re-doing the whole soundtrack once i finish the wave race 64, Phantasy Star Online, and Skullgirls soundtrack :)
