Great video and photos. It really goes to show we don't need cutting edge equipment to produce amazing shots. Although GR series ain't cheap lol

In Spain you cannot take photos without permission of the one you are going to record or photograph. You may have problems with the police. Here there is the right to privacy of image on the Internet

What a beautiful city! Places I have never seen - not surprising as I have only been there once before. Looks as though you are taking more interest in the people than in the architecture now, although it always was the interplay between the two.

excellent photos, just discovered your channel, brilliant stuff. what apertures do you usually shoot at? also it doesn't look like you're using snap distance focusing a lot?
@po.ntandshoot28 күн бұрын
I usually shoot at 4.5-5.6 on the GR. I treat myself to snap focus when the sun is strong and I'm in a busy part of the city.
@Disharmonikash28 күн бұрын
@@po.ntandshoot thank you! useful. Do you find the snap distance successful in high percentage of cases? the 28mm, for DOF reasons of course, is supposedly more effortless at it. Also, as many have requested, it would be great to film a video just you talking about the camera and your experience of using it and perhaps also with an emphasis of the 40mm focal length which is a super weird focal length to be honest, 35mm is so close, but then again to me the different is so aparent despite being just 5mm difference. Keep doing such a good work! Oh, bonus question - Capture One or Lightroom? I've seen some dramatic differences in look of pictures between the two
@po.ntandshoot26 күн бұрын
@@Disharmonikash with snap focus there aren't many keepers, only because I hold the shutter down for 3-5 shots to ensure that focus is nailed as both myself and the subject are moving closer to one another. It's high octane and fun, and removes the dodgy GR autofocus from getting involved. I do need to make video - so many requests now! Regarding software...have only used LR...but I think I need to dabble with Capture One to see what the commotion is about.

Really inspiring pics!! I also got one gr iiix recently and trying to figure out the settings. Would you mind sharing what focus mode were you using in these pics and what mode do you mostly use? Thanks!
@po.ntandshoot10 ай бұрын
Cheers! It is a bit fiddly to start. For the majority of these images I used single point focus (roughly in the middle - focusing first then reframing) with AF-C wide tracking. I use the snap focus for closer, faster moving subjects. A good example of this is in my London B&W video.

Lovely shots! Do you ever wish you had the GR3? One of the many debating between the two
@po.ntandshoot Жыл бұрын
No regrets with the 40mm because I usually shoot wider on my X-Pro 3! So it's nice to cover both on different systems...which one are you leaning towards?
@Kitisgood Жыл бұрын
i dont own either but i know you can also get wide angle convertor for the iiix so that could work as both
@rebours Жыл бұрын
@@KitisgoodI think the wide option is for the gr3, the gr3x has a telephoto option, and these aren't interchangeable between the two cameras.

What do you use for the walking "hands free" video?
@po.ntandshoot4 ай бұрын
Hey, for the majority of my POV videos I'm using a GoPro Hero 11 with either the chest mount or backpack clip. I recently also bought some housing for the DJI pocket 3, so that I can use this hands free on the same mounts.

hi @Mark, did you edit the result of photo? or is that originally from the ricoh?
@po.ntandshoot Жыл бұрын
Hi! These are edited with a Ricoh film simulation preset in Lightroom. I've also made a few other minor tweaks to highlights / contrast.

A little too early to say... but it's got to be the x100vi.

In the video at the 0:52 mark, the individual explicitly requests that his pictures not be shared. As a photographer in Barcelona, I understand the diverse circumstances of many people, including those who may be undocumented and could face serious issues. It's important to honor such requests for privacy. Could you please ensure this scene is edited out promptly? Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
