It was that kind of moments in life that you don't forget, if you asked me what I was doing 11 september 2001 in the afternoon I don't remember but if you ask me what I was doing 9/11/2001 in the morning I certainly remember (in here was kind of 8-9 am)

I was flying back from Europe that day. I never saw anything live on TV. Six hours on the tarmac, and when they finally let us disembark, there were hundreds of planes, like a hall of mirrors. Unreal. I've been reading DeLillo's 'Falling Man' to understand. Be well and take care of yourselves 🙏

I'm from the UK, and in 1999 we visited NYC when I was 15. I vividly remember walking around in the lobby of the WTC, there was some big wedding event going on - I forget what exactly but I remember lots of women in white wedding dresses. I remember travelling up the escalators, the vastness of the space, and looking out over the skyline. It's a childhood memory that'll always stay with me. I still remember 9/11 and that time in my life. It's all so vivid, yet so distant. Like a fading photograph. Love this mix.

December 1991 into May of 1992 was when Home Alone 2, Lost In NY was filmed, and it was released in theaters the Friday before Thanksgiving 1992. The scene where Macauley Culken is standing at the top of the world trade all alone really hits hard for me. I wish I had the chance to visit the World Trades before they collapsed. The 8th grade trip to Gettysburg, DC and NYC was in 1995. My parents had already committed to a trip to South Padre Island, which was a blast don't get me wrong, but I just wish I had the chance to go on that trip. It will forever haunt me.

An event some months ago caused my life to change course drastically. I ended up cutting people out of my life who were once my only friend circle, and that isolation nearly drove me to suicide from feelings of inadequacy and abandonment, something I never told anyone about because I feel so ashamed of what I almost did. I still fight those demons, and currently I can't afford the therapy or medication to work through my trauma. I will hold in many regrets and words for a long time. But, this video helped me a bit. I realized that maybe I'm not on a "right" or "wrong" path, but that I am who I am, and I have the power to shape my life however I wish, so long as I choose to live. So, I think I choose to live, and share my love wherever I can - I'd like to go out on a high note if possible. And lesson learned: cherish the people who actually reach out to you, remind them of your love. You mean something to them.

I used to work in and around the new World Trade Center area a few years ago. There are obviously basement-level tunnels under the new World Trade Center buildings; many of them old, pipe-ridden, empty (I expected everything to be brand new, but they did conserve some of the old structures). I sometimes got eerie feelings down there. Knowing what happened so close by and feeling that there's some kind of imprint still left from that day.

I had just turned six years old, it was a sunny morning in Alabama and I was eating a bowl of cheerios at the kitchen table. I thought the news feed was a movie at first, I didn’t realize it was really happening. I remember seeing the second plane hit the South Tower on TV. My mother cried out. You could hear the entire news crew on the TV gasping. I remember the news anchor say it wasn’t an accident, that this was an attack. Then they showed the Pentagon burning. I still cry to this day thinking of that moment, I will never forget that day for as long as I live.

man, 90s were really calm outside the states XD here in spain we could be playing in the street and no one would harm us for normal (tragedies happened everywhere but not at any time) , you could leave your stuff in the street (like the bike) and would be weird if anyone stole it. Everyone took care of other one´s children and "respect to older people than you" was the rule. in the big cities was worse but not much. we had a really family based culture. nowadays anyone goes on their own. always running, always stressed out. and the trust in your neighbours is almost lost.

You guys (most of comments in these videos with wtc 90's vaporwave videos) tend to be thinking that the world ends in US and couple of western countries that coincidently had a period of relatively chilled time. Meanwhile in 90s people were dying thousands in civil war in balkans and all over the world in general. There was never really a peace. But you were younger, thought less of that all, and obviously - the eerie neuroticism went higher after the social media literally got access to you every day and you feel worse. But nowadays kids grow up and in 20-30 years will literally say the same that you say. Oh it was so much easier. Like literally generation of my parents already love saying "oh it was so much easier and cooler back then in 60-s in the communism regime :D We had very little but at least we were happy" . this will never ever change.

For a long time I couldn’t listen to this music. I would play it for, maybe, 20 seconds before I had to switch it to a different video. It made me so sad, it would feel like a hit to the middle of my chest. I would feel slightly out of breath even. But just recently, like a few days ago, I’ve been able to listen to this kind of music again. I’ve always loved this kind of music ever since I was a child (I was born ‘95) and it made me feel so nostalgic back then just like it does now. I think it took me a long time to come to terms that the life I knew is gone and that that one sense of peace and security I had back then is gone too. I think it took me this long to realize because I was scared and I’m still scared but I feel a little more hopeful too. I don’t get that sense of deep and dark dread anymore when I listen to this. It still feels heavy on my chest but differently like my heart doesn’t have to ache anymore because I’ve accepted what’s happened. This music gives me hope now.

I always wished I grew up in the 90s. I’m a mid 2000s child. And as much as I love the nostalgia old 3ds games, the Wii, 2010s songs and other pop culture at the time brings me, I’ll always have a deep appreciation for the 90s which is so strange considering I’ve never lived it. I’ll see pictures of my mom at the time, and it just looks like a blast. I’m only 19 but I’ve seen the world change so much, it’s truly fascinating. So far other commentators are describing how beautiful and peaceful the music is, which I agree. But to me, particularly the beginning, was so..melancholy, almost foreboding. Which is fitting considering the context of the photo. I would describe this as a somber farewell to an era. Particularly for everyone entering the new millennium with excitement. Like for those who had that feeling of “Oh man! I exist in the middle of transitioning from the 1900s to the 2000s. What will this new decade bring? What innovations and achievements will I live to see? I can’t wait! This is a historic moment that I’ve living in!” .. Sometimes I wonder how life would have played out. How would the political landscape have shaped into? What would relationships have been like for each individual and their loved ones-have they been allowed to continue. What kinds of achievements and losses would we have had instead? It took just one day to alter the course of history, and leave us with a bunch of What-If’s that we’ll never know about ever.

I was in Chicago, at work all day, and I didn't know until just before 5 PM when I was at the bank closing my account at BankOne or US Bank (I don't remember), getting ready to move the next day. First time driving in Chicago, and we made it home no trouble at all, with our dog. I don't remember much about 9/11. I saw very little rehash the same day, and every once in a while I'll watch footage. It was almost unbelievable to see the towers fall, knowing how likely there were many people still inside.

I can’t describe these feelings,every time when I listen to this type of music,I just starting to feel so numb,the sadness fills me and my chest gets tight so I just can’t understand what is happening.im searching for the ways to escape from reality,and I love it when I feel sad like this,maybe it’s kinda curiously, and some people think that I’m strange,but It appeals to me,to be alone,sitting w my own thoughts alone at night,in my room without any distractions,I would like to be lost in the forest or field,listening to this music.also I like cyberpunk theme,I just can’t go trough the streets without my imagination about 2070 world.i think I’m weird but🤷🏻
