Thank you for posting this!! I have been dreaming of starting the harp, and the video you posted after only 2 months is inspiring. I love the harp, it is such a generous and compassionate instrument and will play beautifully for anyone. (It isn't stingy like the violin or other instruments that require you to prove yourself to it first through years of practice). I feel it tends to attract very spiritual people too.

My dream is to be able to play harp on your level. How much time did it take you to learn how to improvise? Thank you in advance for answering me! ❤
@NaturesSpirit2 жыл бұрын
You are very kind ☺️ At the time of making this video I’d been playing the harp for 2 months. I’ve been playing with sound for nearly 20 years and had some experience improvising on various instruments in the past. That greatly helped with learning the harp as I could transpose prior lessons onto a new instrument. That being said, I’d never learnt how to do this type of improvisation (chords, harmonies and melodies) as I’ve never played a polyphonic instrument before. All I can really say for the harp is it just flows, with no resistance. I hadn’t encountered this before the harp found me. This new sonic space is explored further in more recent harp videos. I’m currently working on a new one too ✨ I hope this helps! Thank you for your kindness and support 🙏

Beautiful playing. Thank you. What is the purpose of the earphones?
@NaturesSpirit2 жыл бұрын
I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻 As for the headphones, the microphone I use is very powerful and picks up the slightest of sounds. As a result, I monitored the audio while playing the harp because of the background noises. For example, clicking hand joints and rustling clothes, the neighbours in their garden, passing planes etc... The last harp video I didn’t monitor it and it was fine, as I know the microphone better now. This was also the first attempt of recording the harp, so I wanted to make sure it sounded pleasant on the ear. I won’t be wearing them in future videos as they’re distracting while playing. I hope that clears things up 😊 Thanks for your question 🙏🏻

In case of a first contact with an Alien civilization, they would probably send a nasty team consisting of stern scientists and probably some militaries in other to determine whether the Aliens are a threat. But that's the wrong method. We'd be wise to send you and your instruments instead. Then the Aliens would understand two major things about us Terrans: we can be both intelligent and pacific. At the same time.
