Calpernia Cooks: Cooking for Willam, Dida Ritz, Sharon Needles, Detox and Vicky Vox

www.calpernia.com I made a simple Southern meal of buttermilk fried chicken fried in bacon grease, fresh snapped green beans in butter with garlic sautéed onions and fresh two-color corn-on-the-cob in butter. Hosted by Willam Belli, with guests Detox, Vicky Vox, Dida Ritz, Sharon Needles, Chanel P, Laurie Blitz, Andrea James and more! Of course Willam, Detox, Laurie, Andrea, Sharon Needles, Dida Ritz, Vicky and the other supermodels only ate one flake of buttermilk crust, one niblet of corn, one chocolate chip and one eyedropper-drop of moonshine! ;)
Recipe for chicken:
1. Soak chicken parts in buttermilk. Mix some powdered onion soup mix with flour in a large ziplock baggie. Lots more flour than soup mix.
2. Heat corn oil on medium heat until a single drop of water sizzles and evaporates in it.
3. Shake a piece or two of chicken in the bag until coated. Put chicken in hot oil, cook around 15 mins, then turn over and cook another 15 minutes (checking occasionally to make sure it's not burning). You may use each pouring of the corn oil for two batches, then it should be changed.
4. Cool finished chicken on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Green Beans: Boil fresh green beans in salted water for 10 minutes or until tender but not soggy. Stir in some butter while it's hot, cover top with onions sauteéd in butter and garlic salt.
Corn: Boil it and butter it, bitch!
