@loki35238 жыл бұрын
The Metrolink cars were bought by Caltrain and sent up north to extend their Bombardier five car fleets to the current six car fleets. They haven't repainted them, but they did add a Caltrain logo onto each coach.
@dju4ia8 жыл бұрын
They are all in a pool operated by Amtrak and are used throughout California if needed. I've seen CalTrain cars on Metrolink trains in Los Angeles and Metrolink cars on Coaster trains in San Diego. They will repaint them if they are permanently placed in a certain fleet but are often just relocated and renumbered.

lol the all local stops service takes around 100 minutes to complete.
@ericjamieson6 жыл бұрын
Well the emphasis is on "Baby." It's just an express train, "Baby Bullet" is mainly a branding thing from Caltrain. Like most US trains outside of the Northeast Corridor it's limited to 79 mph. Once they install positive train control and electrification it will be faster.

+Andrew Silva High Green means Clear. Next is red over red. When there are two reds, they mean nothing. (null).

Really late response, but each signal covers one track. Each green signal means that the track straight ahead is clear, while the crossovers and side tracks were switched the other way or blocked.

If you look off into the distance at that point, we are coming up on a signal restriction. Keep in mind this was recorded during rush hour, so it is likely the fact that we have caught up to the local train in front of us, and are being held until it departs 22nd street station.

There are cab cars used by Amtrak on the Capital Corridor and the San Joaquins where the engineer sits in a cubicle on the right side of the car, passengers can sit on the left side, I have done it many times. Sometimes during the summer months, the engineer will block off the seats on the left side a leave the cubicle door open because of excessive heat buildup in the little cubicle, a practice that is extremely dangerous in my opinion with all the whacko's we have running around these days.
