I did the same thing before at voidheart, but instead of sticking it to a wall I grabbed one of the chess pieces and placed it right at the voidwalker spawn and then spammed caltrops. As soon as a player spawned or tpd back to the voidheart, they would just drop dead. Had a lot of fun destroying maxxed 500hp builds with it.
