We were crazy about each other and out of the blue "this isn't working" and left me in the dark. But I saw her distance she was giving me before that happened a few weeks before we split up. To find out she's with another dude. Believe me, I understand this all too well. But a few months later, I met someone else. XX amount of years later, she's my soon to be wife. Things happen for a reason. That's why if shit wasn't meant to be, then it wasn't. Have to understand this and move on. It's the hardest thing to say goodbye to someone emotionally when that person can care less for you. That's why you say there are more fish in the sea. I have NO idea what prompted this and I even had to do a double-take when I first started hearing it at the end of Phillies games. But what I will guess, is that maybe they picked this song because the song is about a "great guy" who is totally ignored because everyone is focused on other dudes. The Phillies were ignored ALL YEAR LONG because it was all about the Braves and the Mets. And I think the Phillies felt like "HEY! We're here too"! I think that's why they embraced this song.
