Isn't it that when a Christian dies their souls rest and they are asleep until Jesus returns? Asking purely out of respect because I am new on this journey of righteous so I want to be correct in my knowledge of the Bible.

Speaking of funerals ...how does a pastor go about speaking on the life of an unbeliever? 🤔 There's a Scripture in the older testament that says, the day of ones death is better than ones birth. Hopefully by the time we end this life we would have walked with the Father in paths of righteousness.
